I like that he includes a Mission reference in his user name to guarantee authenticity.

Hey we're driving up from San Francisco, too. We were also considering taking train, or flying to Seattle and renting a car from there... what are you guys thinking?

Have you looked at how long the train ride would take?

I don't know, I assume it's some ungodly amount of time.

No, i was having trouble even trying to get an estimate on a train ride!
We looked into greyhound and it is something like a 30+hr ride!
I guess I just don't know how realistically driveable it will be for me and my 4-cylinder, 2007 Toyota Yaris. Has anyone made the drive before in a similar vehicle?

If the car is in good condition, it will be fine. I've driven Vancouver to Indio in a Chevy Cobalt. I would suggest having someone to share the driving with though.

Yeah, my boyfriend and I are making the roadtrip up together, and we're really excited, but we also want to make sure the trip is as stress-free as possible! I enjoy long-drives, I just am not sure about the terrain, driving conditions and all that boring, pre-festival stuff. Otherwise, this will be both of our first year at Sasquatch, and we're both reallly excited!

You're on I-5 and I-90 the whole way. Other than northern California and snoqualmie pass it's pretty flat and straight.

Yeah, it's not like you need an 8 cylinder awd vehicle on the highway. You'll be fine. We fit 4ppl and all our stuff in a 2000 Camry last year.

This is not meant to discourage you at all, but a friend drove to Sasquatch years ago in a beat-up, old, little Civic that was bright green with the license plate "PHROGIE" and it died on the way home to Seattle trying to make it over the pass. It was towed to Cle Elum, and there it rests today. It was a great little car, and we had lots of fun times in it. We have a moment of silence every year as we pass through that shitty little town on the freeway.
