 VIP Superticket - Worth it?
« Thread Started on Feb 11, 2013, 4:43pm »

Hola folks! Planning my second trip to Sasquatch and I'm considering purchasing VIP Supertickets for the wife and I as a gift. Anyone gone this route before? They're pricey, no doubt, so I'm curious if they're really worth it - and what the major differences are from regular tickets.

Thanks in advance!

I don't think anyone on here has ever gotten Supertickets, so you're best source of info is just the website.

SASQUATCH VIP SUPERTICKETS

$1,000 per ticket (Reserved Terrace Camping can be added separately)

* NEW FOR 2013

* Improved Mainstage Viewing Area – larger set up much closer to the center of the stage to provide the best possible Mainstage viewing experience

* Better Hospitality Area Location – right near the Mainstage (aka no need to go up and down the hill to grab drinks and food)

* Improved Yeti Stage and Dance/Comedy Tent Viewing Areas – revamped setups to provide better views and easier access

Access to the Sasquatch! Superticket Hospitality Area for all 4 days of the festival featuring complimentary food, beer and wine, soft drinks and bottled water

4-day ticket to the festival

Access to VIP Viewing areas next to all three stages and the dance tent including a platform on the main stage with special lounge area (main stage platform may be closed off for some bands pending their approval)

Terrace Camping spots reserved just for Superticket holders (if camping – camping must be purchased separately)

Private shuttle from Terrace campground direct to venue (if camping – camping must be purchased separately)

In and out access for all 4 days of the festival

Access to the Cliff House – a private club near the main stage with air conditioned private restrooms, a cash bar, special menu and the best view in the venue of the Columbia River Gorge

Sasquatch merchandise credit or TBD limited edition poster or item

Personally, I don't think it's worth it. But then I'm not a balla. Could totally be your style.

The Bruins weren't even that good in '85.

I won vip tickets from the esuance give away in 2010...

It was fun to have the side stage access and the vip areas for the "cleaner" bathrooms, and the cliff house meal was better than the other food, but it was too out of the way and empty to really warrant spending time away from the action...

Truth be told, We spent more time in the general admission areas than the vip...

I had some friends get artist wristbands a few years back (thanks Nine Inch Nails gigantic guest list that no one checked) and they were pretty cool. We passed them around so we all got some time in the VIP areas but they're hardly worth paying 3 times ticket prices for. They are nice because they allow you to bounce around between sets without worrying about getting there early to get a good spot but that's not really that important at the Gorge. Pretty much every spot in the house is already great. The one thing they do that is really cool is they allow you into the inner bowl of the floor without having to wait in line.

Biggest bonus I thought was free beer. I can spend $60+ per day on beer easy, so that is $240. Add on the food, which is not great but still worth $20+ a day and you end up with $320 in real "value." So it is a $1000 ticket worth $650.
But last year a lot of the VIP viewing areas were kind of crappy. The Yeti and Bannan Shack VIP areas were a total joke. Some of the side-stage was nice, but I prefer to be in the mix out front.
If money is no object, then by all means. But if you have any kind of a budget, I'd skip it.

If you have not acquired tickets yet, then your choices are VIP or buy from a 3rd party. This is something to think about as well. You can most likely find a ticket somewhere else, but is is not guaranteed.

I won VIP tickets last year and barely used them. Winning them was pretty awesome though.

The only way I'd consider VIP is if at least two of the main stage headliners were among my favorite bands ever, and I actually had that much money to spend on Sasquatch. I've heard about people meeting some of the main stage bands in the VIP areas, and that would be pretty awesome but I'm not sure if it's worth the money still.

I had Supertickets in 2011 and I loved it! That year one of the biggest perks was the in-out privilages which was exclusive to VIP at the time. I enjoyed the private shuttle and access to the cliffhouse and VIP viewing ares was a nice bonus too. The sidestage was pretty lame imo though... it was too crowded to see much unless you got on the rail, and there was a time limit if there was a line.
Worth it? For me yes. Actulally I just found out this morning that the Supertickets are already sold out too, which really SUCKS for me cause I was gonna wait till the end of the month to purchase.
