I never said they were the same thing but based on additions to Sasquatch 2012, I don't think it is inaccurate to say that they are attempting to become more on the level of Coachella in terms of amenties and activities.

You are comparing a stadium show to an arena show right now and basing it on regional supply and demand.
It's like you're trying to compare apples and oranges by niceness. |
|
But in this case, I'm saying that the "club" has had less space and less expensive seats. While the "stadium" has had more space and more expensive seats. And I'm surprised to see that the "club" has raised their base price to better match that of the "stadium" when it has had a history of being cheaper and hasn't offered any significant reason to do so.
And I thought this conversation was over?

wait...is spicy pie a chain or something in the states? I thought it was strictly a Sasquatch thing. I'm pretty sure it saved my life at least twice last year.

Spicy Pie is a touring pizza thing. I've only ever seen them at festivals. Coachella has had it for years, but I think it was at Sasquatch! for the first time last year.

So much silly being spewed all of the sudden.
For the record:
2011 presale price: $285 (all fees, taxes included) $295 (I think) after lineup released. 2012 presale price: $290 (all fees, taxes included) $315 after lineup released. 2013 presale price: $300 (all fees, taxes included, but I understand $10 delivery fee, haven't bought mine yet)
It really hasn't gone up anything signiDr. Garbanzoant in the last 2 years. Before 2011 it didn't include camping and was only 3 days, and I don't remember the pricing. If you are saying it's too expensive compared to the last 2 years, then you're not making much sense.
TJ: Ro is saying Coachella has more demand than Sasquatch, she's right. Coachella has more demand per ticket than Sasquatch, despite having way more tickets. Scalped tickets to Coachella went for more than double face value last year, this has never even come close to happening for Sasquatch. You are the one who needs a supply and demand lesson.

Camping and shipping aside, the base invoice price for Coachella presale tickets has been $349 for 2 years. Sasquatch tickets have gone up steadily making a $10 jump from $290 to $300 which is unprecedented for Sasquatch as it has never climbed passed $299. In 2012, Coachella's ticket prices were 18% higher, this year it is only 15%, that partnered with upgrades to Sasquatch's usual program tells me that the gap in prices is closing and Sasquatch is trying to be a bit more competitive with larger festivals despite being smaller with less activities and amenities. If there is going to be $10 price increases every year, I better be seeing a Bigfoot Carnival Ride. That's all I'm saying.
You bet your sweet ass that right after Coachella in April, I'm going to be all up in the Sasquatch stew, hugging all of you with FD, and legit weirding around with all of the boarders in all kinds of BoutrosBoutrosGhali stylee but the sticker shock is real.
P.S. Believe Davers, he may not know vaginers but he knows things. P.P.S. Spicy Pie is sloppy.

Sasquatch and The Gorge are both ran by Live Nation/Ticket Master. Live Nation is all about profit, and will always charge more if they can. They have looked at the stats, and come up with numbers that will make them more money while still guaranteeing ticket sales.

I can't believe that they raised the amount of posts in this conversation from last year. This is getting outrageous. At this rate, there's absolutely no way I'll be able to afford reading this thread in 2015.

A+ man, good work meat man,
(Sidenote: Everytime I see Chud's avatar I think it's a tiny robot with a red hat playing golf, then I realize it's meat and think "Oh...that makes a hell of a lot more sense).
