I don't really know why. I like it. I kept it on for a week, and then I decided to just leave it until it fell off or started to get gross. It still looks pretty nice to me, and it comes swimming with me almost every day so I know it's clean.

Pretty much the same here...

Two years ago when they first did wristbands they were all plastic and if they didn't fall apart at the fest they broke shortly after...This past year when they did the felt ones it was a welcome change, mine was put on loose enough that I barely notice it..I shower frequently and the material doesn't stink or hold smells, so it seems "natural" to just let it do it's thing...

How is that possible? They have only had wristbands for the past 2 years and 2011's wristband was made of plastic.

I still have my 2012 one on. I made a drunken bet with a friend who could keep it on longer, I was so sure he would forget. I shampoo it every day so it still looks and smells fine.
