 Ticket Prices
« Thread Started on Feb 15, 2011, 10:40pm »

Do you guys think the prices of the tickets being scalped are going to keep on rising or do you think they'll come back down to a reasonable price? I need a 4 day pass, my paycheck didn't arrive in time, and if anyone has a ticket they'll sell me let me know.

Thanks

Just going on pure instinct, I'd bet they're going to be REALLY high the next few days, then drop, then see a gradual rise until the festival.

This is just instinct though.

The prices will go down the closer we get to the festival. Right now the demand is very high and the scalpers have a lot of time on their hands. As the festival gets closer, they will want to make sure they sell them so they don't take a loss, so any leftover stock will be closer to face value.

Keep your eye on this page for sellers, because we do not allow scalpers here and you will get them at face value. Also, keep your eye on craigslist and other sources for above face value options.

Best of luck.

I wouldn't rush out and buy one right away. Try and get a feel for the supply vs. demand over the next couple of weeks. If you are both patient and diligent I think you should be able to get a four day pass for around $300.

Also, keep in mind that if somehow you make it into the festival (general camping) without a ticket there are usually people who are so destroyed by partying that they will give away their tickets on the last couple days (wrist bands won't work for this though) for a few beers or some Gatorade and munchies. This has been my best friend's tried and true method for years.

Alright, thanks a lot, this has been real helpful. Last year was my first sasquatch, and I know that if I miss this years, I may die of a broken heart.

Lesson learned: never trust my instincts. They're right for the first part, then they just bullshit the rest.

yeah i bought my ticket for 285, my 3 other friends that were suppose to come didnt get tickets. i was half tempted to try to sell my ticket in the next couple days cause i dont want to go alone and the prices are good for sellers right now, but one of my buddies says he will buy one if the price comes down to like 375, so i think he should be able to find that in the next couple weeks.

Hahaha, he's talking about his friend having to deal with scalpers... unless Know sees something between the lines that I'm missing (again), I think this one's ok.

That said, tell your friend to give it time.. $375 is still really high and he should be able to find a better deal than that

Did he talk about profiting off the ticket? Yes. Did he offer to sell it to anyone here above face? No...

***edit*** and I'm way too tired for sarcasm... ugh

It's all good, Mr. Fox. You got me on the second try. And I'm way too tired for being awake. Goodnight, y'all!
