If it was between that and not going to Sasquatch I would definitely buy from scalpers. I would, however, have problems with it. Luckily for me this is a non-issue this year.

I think being on the buying side makes it a little bit of an ethically gray area. The scalper, of course, is scum. But if you missed getting a pass for whatever reason -- say, you're a student and your loans haven't come through in time, or something -- then you're fucked, and what else can you do?

The issue is saying you have no problem supporting scalpers. I have had to buy from questionable sources before, that is true. But to say that you have no moral hangups doing that is because you are an asshole. And all scalpers are assholes. By and large they are the reason that I end up having to go to questionable sources for tickets.
