That was one of the artists that had to be there for a return to the polo fields!

That Trentmøller video is pretty nuts. Great hype, I'm not sure I could pass something like that up. However, that crowd was WAY too into it. It's like they passed out free speedballs, then said, "alright everyone, we're filming this next song."

I can't remember the last time I saw someone jumping up and down to a theremin.

I haven't even heard of this guy before but that video was indeed pretty wild.

Visually it looks like NIN meets Fever Ray meets Cirque Du Soleil haha

New video up - Phantogram.

I'm digging how they're revealing bands. Some people over there are complaining about it, but their lineup should be out within two weeks so they'll only get through a few bands.

Just in case anyone missed it, the link hancho (i think?) posted about cut copy also confirms PJ Harvey for Coachella 2011. Hopefully she does the festival rounds this year. She'd be great closing down the wook.

Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks, the Breeders, of Montreal Ghostland Observatory, Explosions... I think PJH is bigger than the wookie, no?

I really didn't think she's bigger than any of those bands, as I don't know a single person who listens to her. I just checked that White Chalk did surprisingly well (#45 on the Billboard 200) and Uh Huh Her too (#29), so maybe she is a Main Stage act.

So how many videos have there been exactly, I'm kind of behind on this. 1)Trentmøller2)Phantogram3)Tame Impala, is this it? Someone on CoS said there was Arcade Fire too, but I have yet to find evidence of this.

Those are the only three so far. No af or radiohead like some have said. It'd be awesome if that was how they did the whole lineup.

Awesome? Or annoying and terrible? I hate gimmicky lineup announcements, whether they're "once an hour Twitter announcements" or "obnoxious fucking riddles." Just upload a poster. I'm a fan of the sensory overload "HOLY SHIT LOOK AT ALL THESE NAMES" reaction, not the "Okay, so far we have (shitty band), (band I kind of care about), (band I don't know)... what's next!?" tediousness.

Sarcasm. Nothing is worse than Bonnaroo last year. One band every 15 or 30 minute is torture and then with no big announcement or surprise left for huge disappointment!

The video thing is smart because watching those videos gets you excited for each band turn by turn. The "fill in the blanks" one was ridiculous. But I think coach will still reveal the majority of the bands all at once.
