I've been listening to a lot of Alt Nation on XM, and a song that comes up almost every time is Middle Class Rut - New Low. This prompted me to listen to almost everything they've put out to date. It's like if Perry Farrell was in Japandroids and they grew up listening to Foo Dr. Garbanzohters and Smashing Pumpkins.

I know that description will likely be enough to make a few of you violently ill, but I fuckin' dig it.

Well, now that I'm listening to them side by side, calling it a ripoff is a FAR stretch, so I take that back. The vocals in the beginning are similar enough to bug me though.

yeah, New Low doesn't really represent them at all. At least not from what I've been listening to.

I also enjoy Brand New, so that could factor into things.
