I was just browsing Amazon and was reminded that The Decemberists and Iron & Wine will be dropping new albums next month. As we found out last year, MANY artists that ended up playing Sasquatch had album releases in the preceding months up to the festival. This can obviously help hint toward possibilities in the upcoming lineup. What albums are you guys aware of coming out in the first half of 2011?
The Decemberists - The King is Dead (January 18) Iron & Wine - Kiss Each Other Clean (January 25)

The Mountain Goats - All Eternals Deck (March) CAKE - Showroom of Compassion (January) Death Cab for Cutie - Codes and Keys (Spring) Blackfield - Blackfield III (March) Does it Offend You, Yeah? - Don't Say We Didn't Warn You (January)
Also, The Avalanches have hinted at the second album being released in 2011, and Portishead has said they're planning on releasing an album in 2011. So yeah there's that.

The album that involves me spreading every single answer to this question to one answer per post and looking like a douchebag in the process.

This is a sometimes-good list of albus maybe coming out next year.
My favorite potentials are Avalanches, Iron and Wine, The Strokes, The Wrens. I happen to know that the Cave Singers and Destroyer albums have leaked, but I haven't heard them. And the Lil Wayne song that came out yesterday, Six Foot Seven Foot, was sick, giving me hope for the Carter IV.

That Avalanches album has been rumored for at least three years now. Cliche yes, but really, I won't believe it until I see it.
Wrens, hell yes.

The first single came out in August, and Panda's doing what he did with 'Person Pitch' where he releases each of the songs on the album as a single first. I think we're three or four singles into the process? I've only heard the first one but it was pretty great.

The Avalanches recently finished recording their album because they were waiting on a collab with none other than Ariel Pink. It should be out in the Spring and they are supposedly touring.
I'm stoked for Panda Bear, The Strokes, Gauntlet Hair, Madvillain, Fleet Foxes, Smith Westerns, Portishead and the possibility of Radiohead.
I'm also excited for what Old English Spelling Bee will release. Hands down the best indie label right now.

That Madvillain record has been a TBA on release schedules for longer than the Avalanches record.

Except I have a friend that works at Stones Throw and they turned in the new record a month ago and they are waiting for the new year.

No problems. I have set my standards high for these next records by Madvillain and The Avalanches and hope they can meet them. They've taken long enough. Now Boards of Canada just need to get their shit together. And the White Stripes.
