I'm pretty, pretty sure I'm doing this. Especially with tickets starting at $50. Man, I really hope it doesn't suck.

Count me as one who didn't think their Grammy show sucked. Sure they aren't great performers anymore, but I thought their voices sounded flawless. They are all Medicare kids, so we shouldn't expect energy and stage precense. They've been around 20 years longer than most of us have been alive, and they were the primary reason the Beatles got trippy. The Beach Boys with Brian Wilson is easily worth $50.

Going to see Jon Benjamin with the burrito man tonight!

Seriously though this month has been a fucking cavalcade of real life board interactions. It's definitely helping with Sasquatch fever.

While I didn't care for their grammy performance, I am a huge fan and you're right, $50 is definitely worth it. I'm going to do it.

The set list they have been busting out looks pretty fantastic too. I think it will be a lot of fun.

So looks like "electronica" shows are done at the Forum for good. I wish they'd just shut that piece of shit down entirely.

Excellent news. I've seen the mau5, skrillex and bassnectar there and I always wondered why they don't use the arena. I see pics of other mau5 shows and they make the forum look even worse. (and me jealous)

Actually. This is bizarre. When Stamps and I were living in Pittsburgh, we took a mini road trip to New York city to bid LCD Soundsystem farewell. As we were checking into the hotel, he turns to me, ON APRIL FOOLS DAY, and insists he left our verrrrry expensive tickets on our fridge at home. I thougt he was pulling a bad April fools joke, but he was being very serious. I panicked. He panicked. We even notified our friend who was house sitting our apartment and taking care of our dogie case he'd need to overnight the tickets. We contacted ticketmaster and the took care of it, no problems and no questions asked.

I'm hoping you actually called customer service? Because we had no probs getting our tickets when we left them. Willcall will have no problems providing a duplicate ticket if the purchaser is present with their identification. As they know, "this happens all the time"

Good luck!

Part of the issue, I think, was that there was no will-call at the venue for this event.

I'm sorry. I am posting this all without being all too familiar with the actual event, so please excuse me slight ignorance. But did this event, hosted by ticketmaster, not even have a customer service section? It's insane that they would not provide a ticket solutions/customer relations area. Any event should provide some sort of customer dispute/solution area. Shit happens. There HAS to be a section to help people through stuff. Was there seriously nothing like this there? If not, how the hell did ticketmaster get involved?

Souly will have to chime in with details, but the tickets were sold via 2 venues: Ticketmaster, and in stores. They were selling tickets at the door but it was the "store" tickets, not the ticketmaster ones. Ticketmaster had no presence that I saw anywhere at the event. I know Souly called ticketmaster and she also talked to the ticket sales people at the event and apparently nobody was willing / able to help. Maybe she didn't raise as big of a stink as she should have.

To compensate, we had an absolute blast at the event.
