Not that you asked me, but me and the missus saw them when they came through Boise. Their set was nearly identical to the free one they played a few days after Sasquatch but when they came back on for their 2-song encore, they played an awesome cover of "Sweet Dreams" that I had a blast to.

I haven't ever been able to see them, unfortunately. I'm glad I will be able to at Coachella.

To be honest, I don't think they are anything special. If there is any other band you are even kind of wanting to see which is playing at the same time, do not miss their entire set in order to see Fitz.

They play a fun style of music which translates to a fun live show. The dudes stupid haircut was about the only thing I didn't like. Noelle Skaggs is a phenomenal performer, which leads me to believe this band won't be around three years from now when she goes solo. Wow, she is great.

I think Dr. Garbanzo was implying it sucked they played the same show twice, but when your catalogue is about 15 songs, that's pretty common. I wouldn't hold that against them. Heck, I'd gladly pay to see the same 15 songs performed again.

Yeah, I've now watched Local Natives play the same show thrice, but you don't have many options when you've only written about 15 songs. Enjoyable nonetheless.

I saw the Portland show the night before. If I had it all over to do again, I would be in a punk rock band. All you need to do is perform stupid tricks and be funny in between songs, and ten years later you have a devoted following. You don't even need musical talent.

At least Fitz played two cover songs, and at least one new song. The Local Natives played their album with no variation when I saw them.

This last time when they opened for The National they played two new songs that I imagine will end up on their new album. Neither of them stuck for me, they were both very slow, ballad-y songs. Hopefully some producer somewhere tells them to stick to what they do best, up-tempo harmonies.

Yeah I really do love Miss Skaggs...although I loved her more with her old hair (wig I assume?). She takes the tambourine and turns it into a fucking art haha.

I took that road, it's not as easy as they make it seem. The NOFX's of this world are rare. Did you enjoy the show? It seemed to have a lot to do with being the last night of their tour, but having seen them many times before I was not expecting to be so impressed (as much by the stupid tricks and jokes as the music).

Oh yeah, I enjoyed the show. It's fun living in a non-PC world for 90 minutes.

And the reason bands like NOFX are rare is because punks tend to grow up. It's hard to remain true to form when you're listening to Jack Johnson on the side.
