Nice. Let us know how that show goes with Flaming Lips and Weezer trading off songs.

Phantogram was great...
;)

Side note--

Com Truise opened for Phantogram and he was certainly was COMAS, but Stamps and I kept ourselves extremely entertained during the seemingly never-ending set. We pre-gamed at home and were about two PBRs in when Com Truise was barely half-way through the set. A lurch-like frat boy in a hawaiian shirt was in front of us, probably on E, was dancing like an absolute idiot.

After a while I noticed he had this one dance move that he used repeatedly, which involved him running his hand through his frat-boy hair. After seeing him do this at least 35 times, I turned to Stamper and said, every time he runs his hand through his hair, we should cheers and take a drink.

After about two minutes of cheers-ing and chugging, peeps behind us started to take notice. Soon enough, we had about 5-7 people involved in the drinking game. The dude never noticed, but it definitely made enduring Com Truise a ton more fun.

But yes, to answer your question, Phantogram was great. They had a lot more energy than the other two times I saw them (one at Sasquatch and one in Pittsburgh). They're gonna be big, methinks.

So Kanye and Jay Z touring together with PacNW stops. Anyone planning on going? Depending on the price I'm going to try to get tickets for the San Jose show.

I'm spending way too much money on concert tickets out here, by the way. I'm trying to only go to "must-sees" so I'm skipping Fleet Foxes, Twin Shadow, and a few others, but I've already bought tickets for Bon Iver ($55), Portishead ($72) and now Kanye/Jay Z (???$)

I'm in the exact same position, Drew. I'm trying to limit mine to the must-sees (yes, Know, that includes Chromeo every time) and acts I haven't seen before.

I'm buying tickets for this show and then probably taking a break from ticket purchases until the Fall. Times is tuff.

eels are coming to the Aladdin theater in a couple weeks and I'm trying to justify the nearly eighty bucks it would cost to get tickets for me and Stormy. I've been looking at the setlists for the current tour and it is the eels show that I've always wanted to see.

Jonathan Richman (of the Modern Lovers) is coming around in September, also to the Aladdin, and that's just going to have to happen.

Hot damn, I guess I'll have to hit the Tacoma show, assuming I can get the time off. I'll have to get rid of my Battles ticket, who are playing the same night.
