The Black Keys were really good!! They sounded tight, had a decent enough sound system to overcome the concrete cavern that is the Corral and they had a kick ass stage and light show to boot. The setlist pretty much covered all of their albums. The one complaint that I have is that the show was pretty short. Their set came and went in under 80 minutes, including the encore. Not sure if it was worth the $60 price tag, but I'm glad I finally saw them.

Unfortunately I made it just in time for Cage the Elephant, and they FUCKING SUCKED!!! Just like I thought they would. They were so loud and ended up sounding like shit. We left their set after one song and sat on the concourse and they were still annoying. I'm not a fan and have seen them more times then I would care to. I'm so disappointed that they are on tap to open for the Foo Dr. Garbanzohters. To each their own though.

I have seen The Black Keys multiple times. I have seen Cage The Elephant multiple times. I do not need to check, or double check, to know that anyone that says that TBK is superior to CTE's live show are either a) fanboys; or b) randies that do not go to that many shows; or c) fanboy randies.

I saw Cage the Elephant at Voodoo last year and they were awful. They sounded terrible and the singer was so tweaked out it was uncomfortable to watch.

I'm not a huge fan of the Black Keys either, but I can safely say they are so much better than Cage the Elephant live.

Tweaked out is a good term to describe the lead singer! The rest of the band seemed to just stand there banging their heads, but the lead singer thrashed all over the place.
