My guess is that they'll be at Coachella, and those of us who can't go will just have to be sad.

Meeeeee too. I'm kind of resigned to the fact that the only thing that will ever render missing Coachella a non-option is an Oingo Boingo reunion. Considering there is literally a 0% chance of that happening, I most likely won't ever make it down. Makes me sad.

Mine would probably be either LCD Soundsystem or Kraftwerk. Or both.

Oh God, both... best year ever

I'll be honest - the fact that you were at Sasquatch 2010 and you drank yourself out of the single greatest performance your favorite band ever gave causes me not to take you very seriously. Everyone who was there knows - it wasn't just incredible, it was special. Important. Get it together, little dude.

You are my favorite of the new crop because you like Kraftwerk. How many dates would you go to if they brought their 8-albums-in-8-days residency thing to Seattle? Keep in mind we would be paying around $100 per show. I would do at least the first three.

Didn't he just not have a ticket for that day and drank to numb the pain? Probly shoulda wandered looking for a ticket but drinking the sadness away works too I guess.

At least 4. Autobahn, Radioactivity, Man Machine, and Computer World. All of those would be necessary if I wanted to continue my existence as a human. I would spend $100 for each of those shows in a heartbeat.

Pretty much this -- I was in a really bad spot financially that year, and they had not announced their impending breakup yet, so I sold my ticket and camped and Dr. Garbanzoured I'd catch them on the next tour. Despite that, I still stood at the edge of the campground drinking and chainsmoking and trying not to be too weepy.

Also, for the record, nobody expected that caliber of performance from them at Sasquatch. It took everybody by complete surprise, which was part of the reason everyone loved it so much. Was it a once in a lifetime opportunity? Yeah, and I missed out. But moping around about it won't change anything. All I can do is be certain I won't make the same mistake twice.

Side note: the knowledge of all of this made James Murphy's DJ set last year that much more incredible. That he declared the DJ set itself to be "the most fun I've had playing a show in 2 or 3 years" made it so much sweeter.

There seems to be a growing trend of DJs that come away from Sasquatch having played one of their favorite sets ever. We sure know how to treat them well out there.

My sympathy for your loss is no longer now that I know you sold your ticket. Not having a ticket or not being able to afford one is completely different than selling what you own. Did you considered selling your body first?

However, the LCD show was "spectacular" because of the Teen Wolf dance. Had the same thing happened at Tegan & Sara, everyone will still be losing their shit over how amazing it was.

It was that or eviction and homelessness. Hindsight is 20/20, and like I said, nobody knew it was going to be that incredible, nor one of their last shows ever.

Yea, that Teen Wolf dance totally saved that set from being the most forgettable 50 minutes in the history of live music...

Even though you apparently live in Seattle, and I live in Portland, I can smell your bullshit from here. You are a upper/middle class kid from Seattle who made an incredibly stupid decision. Am I'm supposed to believe your only option was being homeless? There are poor people sleeping under the bridge two blocks from here who would gladly kick you in the throat for a nickle, and I will gladly pay them $10 per kick.
