Wonk,

historically, when you've arrived on Friday mornings....

1. what time did you typically roll in
2. what car camping spot did you end up in?

Sorry dude, I got banned, so I wasn't able to reply. I'm unbanned now.

I didn't realize an old friend lived a couple miles from Indio until last year, so that's the only reason I arrived Friday morning. I partied with his crew Thursday night. The year before, I arrived late Thursday night and lucked into a camp spot near the food court.

Last year I rolled in just short of 8am Friday morning. I didn't get to my camping spot until after 10am. I had a horrible camping spot, as you can imagine. Picture yourself leaving the front gates and walking right by Shax's campground heading toward the food court. Then after you pass the food court, continue walking that direction until you hit the the real road. I was camped one row away from that road, so I could throw a stone to reach it. It was a miserable hike and nearly an hour round trip each time. Don't show up Friday morning.

I'd love to camp near where I was last year, too. That spot was da bomb!

Also... Camping Group 1 is gonna need some revisions. Friendly and Romie are out. :/

I finally booked my flight last night so I'm actually locked into coming now -- I may have been on the fence for awhile there... anyway, I'll be getting in to LA on Wed. 10th and then either staying in Santa Monica for the night and leaving early Thurs. morning for the campground or just heading to Palm Springs as soon as we land. Personally, I want to head to Palm Springs right away so we can try to get to the campground much earlier on Thurs. this year and not be camped so far away.

I'd love to join in on one of these camping groups though! I have a car camping pass and will be renting a car, and will most likely have a friend from work joining me (she's not confirmed yet as we're just waiting to see if her vacation is approved *crossing fingers*). But since it's just one or two in my camp, there's plenty of room to share!
