Love The Men. Saw them open up for Iceage last summer. Their set I think leaned a lot more towards the "Open Your Heart" sound than the sound of their first album, which I kinda liked live.

EDIT: Didn't realize Open Your Heart was their third full length. I guess the "first album" I was referring to was really their second?

Hellsa jeals, dude. I need to see The Men like I need to see Thee Oh Sees. Check out that first Men album, Immaculada. Much more of their atmospheric, experimental side.

Would you mind posting the album names as well? Makes it easier for me to add them to the first page.

Also, you've heard the new Beach House??

Adding to my list:
Schoolboy Q - Habits & Contradictions
Julia Holter - Ekstasis
The Men - Open Your Heart
Sleigh Bells - Reign of Terror (This is seriously phenomenal, you guys)
Grimes - Visions
Yellow Ostrich - Strange Land (I'm surprised I like an album from a band with such a shitty name)

Cate Le Bon - Cyrk

I just started listening to this because FD listed it, and it's so good. Where did you hear of this, FD? I'd never heard of her.

I'm really loving this s/s/s EP

I've always like Serengeti enough but this is the first time that I think he has the right beats to go with his style.

Definitely adding: Andrew Bird-Break it Yourself and Tramp by Sharon Van Etten to my list. I really need to listen to the others that came out so far, I'm behind already and it's only March.

Ok, just how the fuck does one go about searching for this band or artist or whatever it is on the internet? Does no one take these kind of things into consideration when naming themselves? Christ, I'm just waiting for someone to call themselves "the."

There's a band called The The? Really?

Band names have always intrigued me. In fact when I bored in class I often try to think up names for no reason at all. I really like indie music, but it seriously hard to get into some band when there name is too dumb to even say out loud. But I guess that's probably said about 'The Band' when they came out, but in their case in actually made sense.
