I know Gramma would agree with you about "French Exit" being the best Antlers song. I'm not too keen on "I Don't Want To Love" but "Putting The Dog To Sleep" is awesome. My favorite is still "Every Night My Teeth Are Falling Out." I might be alone on that one.

This thread got weird.
And all but two tracks on Burst Apart are tied for best song of 2011.

Lil B, for the same selfish reasons you like "Gon Be Okay," I like "Unchain Me." And yes it's because it's a sample, but it's awesome.

First, I should say I grabbed my headphones when I saw your list, so I thank you for that. I didn't really think I would disagree with you as much as I am so far. I like the first Iron & Wine selection you pointed out, but really don't like the second. My favoritre is still "Walking Far From Home."

I also like "Tree By The River" better than "Godless Brother In Love."

Honestly, I think "County Line" is up there exclusively because it's the first track and the one I listened to most often. Cass McCombs is so dense, it takes commitment to make any one of his tracks your favorite. But I'll check out that one.

I would actually say you're agreeing with me a remarkable amount

Song of the year for me goes to The Strokes - Under the Cover of Darkness, or Lupe Fiasco - Show Goes On.
Both albums ended up being pretty average, but they totally killed it with those songs.
EDIT: Put Beth/Rest up there too...so good

While I haven't compiled my list yet, I know for sure that my song of the year is Midnight City by M83. Don't fucking argue with me about it. It's my opinion, y'all. I think it's one of the catchiest songs written in the past decade.

Yeah, picking two M83 songs which aren't "Midnight City" is a big miss. I hadn't got to this one yet. I'm so terrible with song titles, I have to relisten to all of these to remember if they were my favorites, or which were.

I've always been terrible with song titles and it's always pissed people off.
"I don't fucking know the title! #2 man! #2!"

Yup, I saw Drew's list, and thought, "which one of those M83 songs is number two?"
