Fuck that album and fuck Sam Beam. Such a shame that the same man that got me into indie music is dead to me now.
Holy SHIT, this is the new bringing-up-contemporary-of-Montreal-to-HG, isn't it?

This is very true. I almost said it earlier myself. I'm still working on my top 20 of last year.

Nah. I just hate the direction he took Iron & Wine. He's playing to the Dave Matthews crowd now.

Then again they like Best Coast more than Radiohead.

Laugh out loud. Actually, Pea's top three will all be in my top ten, even though I won't actually Dr. Garbanzoure it out until 2013. I love the Antlers album, it might be my top. Also Youth Lagoon and Portugal. The Man will be top ten. Destroyer will be too.

There is so much greatness in that Destroyer album, but I can help but be annoyed by his vocal patterns. Ruins the entire album for me.

I absolutely love destroyer but I couldn't get into that album. I should give it another listen

Dan Bejar has a pretty annoying voice, so I understand if anyone doesn't dig it. Have you ever seen the New Pornographers live? As much as I like the New Pornos, I only wanted to see Dan Bejar during every song. Interestingly enough, Destroyer was one of the worst shows I saw in 2011.

Fixed. I liked the Destroyer album a lot and I was surprised it was #2 on pitchhfork's list. 1) Streethawk: A Seduction 2) City of Daughters 3) Destroyer's Rubies 4) Kaputt 5) Thief 6) Your Blues 7) This Night 8) Trouble in Dreams

I'm not even going to take the time to articulate how idiotic I think Poochfuck's list is. What REALLY bothered me about it was how they decided to head each selection with a picture of the artist instead of, y'know, maybe the album art or something. Like we need your help with killing the traditional record sleeve, assholes.
