I havent been around a lot lately. I am coming into these shenanigans a little late, but I'd like to just say my piece and then I'll butt out(maybe):
Was Wonk picking on him at all times ( even if it was a joke, and would have all made sense, like, if you really,like, knew the guy IRL)? Yes; Did Alex always take it to seriously? Yes, definitely; Did he post a lot about his house? Ya, quite a bit recently; Do a lot of regulars have one track minds, and continually post about inane bullshit? Yes, at all times since forever; Does that really matter, on a message board with some of the most ridiculous threads? Nope.
I like Alex, just like I like all of you jokers. I hope he comes back [ trust me Alex (if you are reading this) you can delete an account and make the same one again, legit no problem]. I really do believe ya'll when those of you with real life wonk experience say that he if a real life beauty; but I know first hand that the internet can cause huge misinterpretations into a persons true character.
I don't really know what the vibes are like around here these days, but I hope that if Alex wants to come back, you guys will accept that, and fo'getta'boutit. It IS just the internet, and this IS just a silly group of people talking about the best festival in the world, ALL YEAR LONG.
That's it , I'm done talking. I'm running on no sleep, so I hope this made sense.

"Babel" is going to have the biggest selling debut week of the year (almost doubling the Biebs) and looks like it will have the second highest digital sales in a week ever.

Sans a few tracks, Babel is pretty fucking terrible, and I've never hid the fact that I enjoy Mumford & Sons. Some of the praise it's receiving is beyond baffling to me.

However (and I really don't care what some of you think about or have to say about them), it is extremely refreshing to see a actual band from an oddball genre that plays actual instruments and writes their own songs pretty much being the biggest thing on earth. I have absolutely zero hate for them and I think the snotty backlash from indie dweebs is fucking dumb. I just don't like the new record

It doesnt really seem to be getting much praise, just a whole lot of sales. 66/100 on Metacritic is a resounding 'meh' from the critics.
I don't hate them either but I would probably still complain if they headlined a night at Sasquatch. I wouldn't be complaining because they were there, I'd be complaining because they are taking up a headliner spot.
