I'm not remotely defending Foster the People but most bands sound like shit on SNL. I don't know how they're able to make their sound that unlistenable but they rise to the occasion time and time again.

I know what you're trying to get at. Seriously every band that has ever played SNL has shitty sound. But what I, and likely HG as well, was getting at was his voice( well everything about him really) is just fucking aggravating to no end, the best sound guy in the world matched with heavenly acoustics can't help that clown.

That was so notoriously horrible. It's been bad since then, and I"m sure before, but that's when I really noticed it.

I'm glad we all remembered TVOTR and how bad they sounded so I don't have to rant about it. The only really terrible thing is that when they played 'Golden Age' at Sasquatch it sounded just as bad and off-pitch.

That's okay though because Phish covered that song at the Gorge a couple years later and set it right and it was awesome.

I thought both Radiohead and FTP had decent sound. Radiohead was especially well mixed and their performance was as tight as ever. If Thom's voice was off I did not notice because he always sounds fucked up. I just plain didn't care for FTP's performance. You could tell the lead singer was nervous, and I hope the band does away with their awkward dancing once they get over their nerves. And when they brought out Mr. G I at first thought it was a joke but quickly recognized that it was actually Kenny G up there. For a program that tries very hard to be cutting edge I do not understand this move at all.

No one has mentioned it yet, but the Lady Antebellum performance was also well mixed, but holy jesus their sound is insufferable.

Well it looks like I will be spending a small forchune on Paul Simon tickets again. I can't even believe I could sit and watch him perform Graceland! HG's gonna pee his pants when he sees this.
