This was a great year for releases. The best in a long long time.

I'm with Stamper, I think this has been one of the worst years for music in a while. Last year was much, much better.

Is anyone anticipating any other releases before the end of the year? I would imagine we're pretty much done for 2011.

I was on board with that statement until August. There have been some amazing releases since then, along with a few that I've revisited and grown to love from earlier in the year.

Burst Apart wasn't even close to my top 10 in July but it's been competing for #1 for about a month now.

I think 2010 was an exceptionally great year for music. Off the top of my head I would say I enjoyed "This is Happening", "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy", "Forgiveness Rock Record", "The Suburbs" and "Sir Lucious Left Foot" more than anything I have heard this year.

Hah. On the contrary, my friend was ultra excited to see them at Coachella this year, but she ended up finding me half way through their set and said they were a total letdown.

If we're talking about one week from now, sure. But you're forgetting about the power quad releasing albums early next week, Mary J. Blige, Daughtery, Rhianna, and Nickelback.

Just for fun, I checked their Atlanta setlist in September, and compared it to the setlist they played three times in Portland in the fall of last year. The Atlanta show was four songs short (I'm guessing it was a festival since the Portland shows were already short to begin with), but otherwise it was the exact same order other than flip flopping the last two songs. It's such BS that a band with so much material and so much freedom from having to perform to a light show will not switch up their setlist, even a full year later.

I don't know why they'd want to keep the same setlist either. I mean, if I had a band with a large library of songs, I would definitely change up the setlist for every show.

That's what becoming the Apple/Old Navy/Gap commercial darlings of the year will do to your setlist.
