Where is it that you are constantly inundated with U2?

Everywhere. Canucks games, bars, the radio (I drive work cars lots, which limits me to radio and all 3 stations I listen to play U2 semi regularly), movies every now and then, probably a TV show or two.

And its really only the same 5 or 10 songs, so that just makes it worse.

So do you base your opinion of Pink Floyd on "Money" and the fact that it is played on the quarter hour on every FM station in the world? That's not really fair.

And please don't say that you don't have an opinion of Pink Floyd, please just don't say it.

Wow. I heard 'I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For' at the bar the other day and got super excited. I never hear U2.

I saw u2 a couple weeks ago and it was definitely a spectacle. The show was good but I definitely didn't feel connected to the music seeing as I was sitting in the cheap seats. Setlist wasn't exactly what I was hoping for either:

Pink Floyd is possibly my favourite band of all time. I get sick of hearing Money sometimes, but I probably dont hear it as much as some U2 songs.

I dont dislike U2 because I hear them so much, I just dont think they are THAT good. I put them somewhere in the middle of huge bands in the world. There are certainly popular bands that are worse, but I think there are lots that are better too.

I kinda like U2. I hear them a lot, I get sick of them. I really like bands like Radiohead, Floyd, the Stones... so its a lot harder for me to get sick of them.

Go back to my friend analogy. Friends you sort of like, you see every now and then, you dont get sick of each other and everyone is happy. With your best friends, you can spend days in a row with them and everyone is happy. Imagine that friend you only want to see on occasion moves in with you and sleeps on your couch for 3 weeks. All of the sudden, his little tendancies that were a little annoying before are full blown disasters.

I hear U2 (invoulentarly) more than Radiohead, Pink Floyd and The Beatles combined. You guys apparently dont, so I guess it might be tough to see where I'm coming from.

What were you hoping for? There are some good songs on there but definitely there are others I would like to hear.

Using your analogy, it would not matter because I think U2 is rad. I do not listen to them anymore, really, but there was a time I would have called them my favorite band.

Whatever makes your skirt fly up.

I'm a pretty casual U2 fan but I expected at least a few more songs from Joshua Tree. The lack of Bullet on Blue Sky seemed weird if nothing else
