I'm going to Coachella only if I can find a job soon since I just lost mine. I'm super duper poor right now.
And if I can find someone to go with.

Ya, it looks like it might be Coachella only for me next year. I've got Mexico in October/November, then Coachella in April and we're probably gonna spend some extra days in and around San Diego and Los Angeles. The girlfriend wants to do Disney again (ok me too) and I really want to go back to 6 Flags.
With those trips planned, and considering the fact that we're most likely renting a condo for Coachella, I probably won't be able to afford or get the time off for Sasquatch.

Sasquatch is my yearly pilgrimage and it would take a lot to change that.

If I had to choose one, I would pick Sasquatch. Each festival is great in its own way, but Sasquatch has the fucking Gorge, and you can get as close as you want to see your favorites. I've seen Wilco and My Morning Jacket multiple times, but the closest I've been to the stage for each was at Sasquatch. Coachella is definitely a spectacle, and I'm glad so many of you will get to experience it, but the L.A. douchebags are much more insufferable than the NW douchebags. Think about the most annoying person you saw at Sasquatch this year. There are at least 10,000 of that same person at Coachella.

I never experienced a group or single person that I found particularly annoying at Coachella. In fact, I found everyone there to be generally happier and nicer than at Sasquatch this year. Maybe my brain was too busy being flooded with beats and flashing LED's to notice...

If I could only do one, I would do Coachella. No question.
This was my first year at both, so my impressions are based solely on those experiences, but I really feel sasquatch is pretty bush league when compared to Coachella. There are so many little things that Coachella does so much better than sasquatch, that it really starts to add up.
I feel the acts are also of a higher caliber, and a lot more suited to my tastes. I'm probably a little biased because I was there, but for me the lineup at Coachella this year was the best festival line up I have ever seen
To top it all off, Coachella has that damn Sahara tent. That place is indescribable.
I honestly wasn't bothered by the "douchebags" at Coachella at all...probably because I am pretty much a frat boy though, I kind of fit in with that whole crowd.

I really dont see how Coachella could be a better overall experience than Sasquatch. It's hotter, dustier, you cant bring beer into the campground (well, you have to sneak it in from what I understand) and it's way more crowded.
That being said, musically I'm sure it beats sasquatch pretty hard. More stages, more acts and bigger headliners. Of course this leads to more conflicts, but you still end up seeing more bands you want to see.
I hope to make it to both next year, but Coachella is probably a 2 week commitment for me so I have to have at least a few friends coming for the road trip and I have to really like the lineup. Sasquatch is only a couple days off work and I could have fun even if they have BSB/N' Sync / Spice Girls headline. The camping and the people at sasquatch is what keeps me buying my ticket every year before the lineup comes out.
