I saw Adam Duritz at the Oakland airport. Twice. On the same bench.

He's been combing those dreads over since 1999. He's like Billy Corgan: we really need to stop encouraging him. Then maybe he'll go away.

What are everyone's rental car rates looking like? I went with a standard size (looks like I'll be getting a Chevy Impala) from Hertz, added the damage insurance for an extra $60, and my grand total came to $232 for Thursday afternoon to Monday afternoon.

I did hotwire, Thursday noon to monday noon. Ended up at $155 all in for a full-size (= impala size) car, with Hertz. Might have been able to score a better deal if I had been patient, but I kind of just wanted it booked.

Just researched a ton of Coachella artists. I don't how I'm going to see even close to the number of people that I want to!

Now stoked on:
Metronomy
The Growlers
Laura Marling
Lissie
M. Ward

Ro - I fell in love with Lissie when I discovered her while DJ'ing in Pittsburgh. She's under the same label as Andrew Bird called Fat Possum Records. Its a tiny little label out of Mississippi, but they clearly represent good talent.

My favorite song from her is "When I'm Alone". Its one of those feel-good, total girl-out songs.

Metronomy is a ton of fun, also. Ton of fun.

i.so.excited.

Lissie's cover of "Pursuit of Happiness" is freaking awesome.

And that "Cuckoo" song is awful pleasant.
