Yeah, looking at that full lineup, I think Roo beats Coachella by a little bit. Just not enough to get over the fact that it's Bonnaroo and I hate Bonnaroo.
That superjam with Jim James, John Oates and the Preservation Hall Band looks amazing.

I like this lineup more than past years. I'm considering going. I've always wanted to witness first hand how terrible this festival is.

It looks like there is a new Jam Band oriented festival coming to the Gorge. The festival is called JamBase Live and is being held July 5-6. If you have ever checked out the JamBase website, you'd know what you can expect from a festival like this. With all these genre based destination festivals such as Paradiso, Summer Jam, and now this, Sasquatch will quickly become an all Indie festival. You can already see it happening.

I'm fairly certain I've done something similar before, but here's the pros/cons for anyone who hasn't gone before...
Bonnaroo Advantages Longer set lengths 'Late Night' sets actually mean late night sets...we're talking like shows going till like 5AM CRAFT BEER TENT Fewer bros
Bonnaroo Disadvantages Over congestion for stage shows Poor visibility for tent shows and zero video screens. And yeah, over congestion there too. Dust. Dust. and so much more fucking DUST. That.Fucking.Humidity. Not only do the campgrounds look like a demilitarized zone, but also within the Festival gates. It's fucking gross in there. much more Hippies.
While I openly admit that I have a love/hate relationship with Bonnaroo, it's really not that terrible of a festival. I've had some great times during the four years I've went... it just requires much more patience and tolerance than other festivals.

As I probably cannot make Sasquatch, would you guys recommend Lollapalooza or Bonnaroo or other festival? The later in the summer, into fall would probably be the best.
I'm really digging this Bonnaroo line up though

Though the lineup has yet to come out, (should be in the next few weeks though) you should consider Osheaga in Montreal.
1. It's really well organized. 2. Beer guys a shots girls wander the crowd selling booze, so you don't have to move to get a drink. 3. It's in fucking Montreal, the most party city in Canada. (insert Canada doesn't know how to party joke) 4. It's fairly cheap.
Downside: no camping.

Outside Lands had a hell of a lineup last year. I would expect something similar this year.

I like Osheaga but after going last year, it got a little too big for it's britches for me. The lineups to do/get anything (food, water, bathrooms etc) are fucking atrocious and since they moved stages over to the other side of the park across the road, there are some annoying bottlenecks and it takes a long time to move from stage to stage.
Some smaller festivals more in your neck of the woods that I would reccommend and will likely be going to are Rifflandia in Victoria and Keloha in Kelowna

That's shitty to hear. I went in 2010 and thought it was fantastic, but it does seem to be getting bigger every year.
There's still a good chance I'll go this year since I have a friend in Montreal and don't have any other vacation planned this year.
