Also, Doug Benson, David Cross and Jon Benjamin are on the comedy lineup. Doug Benson is the funniest fucking standup comedian I have ever seen.

Oh shit! I totally missed Daughn Gibson in there. If you only see one recommendation from me, make it him. He put out one of my favorite and strangest albums of the year. Even FD loves that album, so you know it has mass appeal.

My guess is it totally sounds like a Black Moth Super Rainbow album (or a Tobacco album, if that's your thing -- honestly, I can't tell the difference at all).

But that's fucking exactly what I want from them. If it didn't, it'd be like a Cure album that didn't sound like the Cure or a Dan Deacon album that didn't sound like a Dan Deacon album. Can't wait to hear it.

Yeah, especially since I may be required to attend the Edward Sharpe set instead. Truth be told, I've never listened to Turbonegro, but I just downloaded Apocalypse Dudes, and I'll listen to it tomorrow (to make my conflict worse).

I'll bring a copy to Burrito's. It's exactly how you described it and want it to be.

Definitely a gap in that slot. Are they crazy live or something?

Yes. Just very spastic punk/grind.

Also, since I have a knack for making you watch Youtube videos, and since this video is kind of baseball related, check it out. Torche is like, pop metal or something. Very catchy.

Sounds more like pop punk, than pop metal. They reminded me of Blink 182. I haven't been a fan of anything pop punk since Green Day, and pop metal since Green Jelly.

Funny you related that video you made me watch to baseball. "Kickball" was the original name for "Soccer," but all the elementary kids revolted against the idea.

Who is this Dwarves you speak off? The name sounds familiar, but preach on preacher.

I saw NoMeansNo at Dante's a couple years ago, so it's less of a can't miss. I did enjoy them, and will probably go again. I didn't know they are Residents fans.

BMSR plays all the time in Portland, and Turbonegro is a much tougher band to catch live.

I'm tentatively planning on seeing the X before Run DMC. I don't listen to them much, but I understand their draw. I've seen Girl in a Coma (she must be a big Wilco fan) and Santigold already, and don't know much about Bun B. Those four are playing at the same time.

Yes, I remember you raving about him. My music provider doesn't have his album though, I've checked many times. He is playing really early in the day, so if I'm there, I'll catch it.

That's also the day after I'll be getting faded with Switch/hot wife, so I might be sleeping in that day.

Yes, I recall people raving about Doug Benson now. He is conflicting with Deerhoof, so it probably won't happen.

Thanks all, keep the suggestions rolling in. It will make my research much easier.

Dude, I would remove probably for Omar and make that a must. Bosnian Rainbows is fucking awesome.

If I was in there on Friday I would maybe check out Torche and then probably all of the ones that you already said.

Saturday I would be going to Red Fang no matter what. I know they are Portland and you probably have seen them but they are really fucking good. Also, OFF!, The Sword and Refused would be on my list.

Sunday A Place To Bury Strangers. I have never seen live and really want to. Fuck that, Black Angels vs Trail of Dead....worst conflict.

I really wish I could go to this. Looks like a blast. GO SEE OMAR!
