I'm just surprised at some of the artists they get to participate in this thing. A Geto Boys reunion is a pretty big deal to have at something like the fucking gathering. The Pharcyde does not fit the bill at all. George Clinton is awesome. What is he doing there?

It really does make a lot of sense. You can draw a lot of lines between nu-metal fans and ICP fans. Even though Fear Factory and Soulfy don't really fit into that category, they've been lumped into the genre ever since it became a thing.

ICP and nu-metal kind of peeked around the same time I think. I remember ICP's popularity in the late 90's, but what I remember most about them was their rhymes and production getting shittier and shittier with every album.

I've always been a metal fan, and a big fan of Industrial, but I never really got Fear Factory. Maybe they just sound too generic to me. I was a big fan of Soulfly when they first started, but haven't kept up with them. I should revisit Soulfly.

Obsolete is the only Fear Factory album I really like. Demanufacture had it's moments as well, but I agree, there's always been something that has keep me from really digging them as a whole. Soulfly's selt-titled and Primitive were always in heavy rotation when I was a younger teenager. I must confess that I was also a huge ICP fan from about 12-14. Such an impressionable age to have so much awful music available to me.

Probably just Actress/Teengirl Fantasy for me. I love me a Teengirl Fantasy show, plus they recently acquired an effects processor from Excepter (one of my favorite bands) that my nerd-self is excited to see in action with their music. I like that new Actress album, too. It's very interesting to me in an unfamiliar way.
