Couldn't agree more with what you've said about what each member brings to the band. But if we're talking about talent in general, I don't think there's much basis for comparison until Geologist/Deakin release a solo album that comes even close to touching Person Pitch. Avey Tare is an alien so he doesn't count.

There are so many statements that I disagree with here regarding Tomboy, but I'm quoting this one because it's the craziest to me. Plain and simple, Tomboy is a guitar record and Person Pitch is a sampler record. As a guitar player and occasional sampler user, I know some of the simpler tricks he used on Person Pitch, but ccould never recreate the guitar tones from Tomboy because he processed them through very unique equipment that is not meant for guitars. Not to mention those beats are simple yet dense as fuck. Brian Wilson wishes he had Tomboy beats. Panda's sense of rhythm is unlike anything else I have ever heard and I think that Tomboy showcases it better than anything else in the AC catalog. I have already listened to Tomboy as many times as Person Pitch and feel confident that in 5 years I will still be able to call it the stronger release of the two.

The Beatles - Let it Be
Pea board suicide: Aside from the radio hits, I've never explored much of the Beatles catalog at all. I decided to start with Let it Be the other day, and I really fucking love it. I'm sure HG will say it's their "Keep it Like a Secret," and is actually their worst album, but whatever. So, where do I go from here? I'm assuming most of you will say Sgt. Pepper?

Revolver dude, Revolver.
And Let it Be is great, but I think everything post Rubber Soul is pretty much fantastic, so... Yeah.

And I would say leave The White Album for a bit later since they all sorta did their own thing on that one and its a lot more noticable when you're more familiar with their styles.
Alright Pea is converted, I think stamper and one other person (wonk?) were saying the Beatles are not the shit. We're getting there.

If you like Let It Be, yeah I would do Revolver or Rubber Soul, then Sgt. Peppers and Abbey Road, then the White Album. You might find Please PLease Me, Meet the Beatles or With the Beatles grating, but that is the Beatlemania material, it's simple but they're really beautiful and perfect songs, and it's the only era when it's tough to tell a john song from a paul song. The george songs still stick out like a sore thumb.
Actually, that's my advice, is see if you're a john guy or a paul guy. I'm a john guy.
