As for the haters, fbelt sander me, what type of music do you listen to? I think this thread would be much more educational if we understand why you dislike Das Racist. If you think Das Racist sucks, yet your favorite bands are Green Day, Slayer, and 311, that tells more than if you think Das Racist is terrible, and your favorites are Jay-Z, Kanye, and Lil B.

You my friend are on crack. These guys lack the flow and beats of good hip hop. I'm not saying you should like all those groups i listed because they are nothing spectacular but Das Racist makes all of them look like they should be winning grammys.

As far as modern/mainstream hip hop goes off the top of my head: Kanye West, Atmosphere, Kid Cudi, Lupe Fiasco, T.I., Asher Roth, Eminem, LMFAO, Blue Scholars, Jay-Z, Aesop Rock. I gave Das Racist a five song chance but could not get into them. They can throw them on Monday nights lineup for all I care.

So you don't like the "flow and beats?" I'll be honest, whenever people talk about "flow" in rap, I have no idea what they're talking about. Das Racist don't rap as emotively as some of those artists you mentioned, but that's a style issue. As far as wordplay and topical lyrics, I think they match or beat just about everyone on that list. I've never been into Atmosphere or Aesop or Blue Scholars because they're so fucking self-important.

As far as "beats" are concerned, they don't produce themselves. Your boy Sabzi does, and Diplo, and Devo Springsteen, and Boi-1da, and Teengirl Fantasy, and Keepaway. And that's a pretty impressive list in my book, and it translates well to those mixtapes.

LMFAO, Asher Roth, Hollywood Undead, and far east movement are all awful but what really tipped your post over the edge was 1. the idea that schwayze has any talent and 2. that he might be at sasquatch

Ok, so I am taking a little of what I said back about Das Racist after finally hearing two good songs by them: "rainbow in the dark" and "You Oughta Know". Plus they earn points for crediting B-Real and dissing T-Pain

1) I'm quoting the only "not-nice" person I've ran into on here. 2) 200 some odd posts and being on a message board since '09 isn't really something I'd openly take pride in nor does it really make you an expert. I'll take my advice from those with actual credibility. Thanks, but no thanks. 3)I've never suggested any of those bands should be played at sasquatch but would be generally prefered over Das Racist. Even if one of those other groups were picked to play sasquatch should you be surprised? Really? It's more than just Indie label artists. 4)Warped tour is and will always be shit. Three of those acts are better than that. 5) You're an idiot. 6) Typical answer for the casual listener who's heard of LMFAO. Shots is among one of the worst by them and only serves as a porpoise for a nightclub.

it's been tough getting in a whole 2 posts a week but somehow I survived. I'm also shockingly not offended that I got called a casual LMFAO listener.

none of those artists will play Sasquatch. Sasquatch is not just indie artists but all of the artists appeal to a demographic that is not just 16 year old girls (owl city being the one exception that comes to mind)

The first time I heard these guys I knew they would be kind of a love em' or hate em' type group. For sure, some of their songs are hit or miss, and they certainly have their standouts. But like know id mentioned, they released nearly 3 hours of music this year alone. Not even Portugal. The Man can boast that. There is bound to be some good and some bad. Here are some tube links to what I think are probably the better chunes so the people in doubt of them can get a idea of what they are capable of. They deserve much better than comparisons to Hollywood Undead and LMAFO.

I'm only suggesting that you be more educated on LMFAO before making a bold statement like that... And have you actually listened to Asher Roth mixtapes? You'd know that he appeals to the right demographic. To counter your point, none of those artist have been or will ever do warped tour either except for maybe shwayze and hollywood undead (which I'm not even sticking up for). I don't care much for Far East Movement either. I was being a little sarcastic and I knew they would better express my insult to Das Racist. So Fuckin' lighten up, buddy. You took the shit I said way too seriously.
