Looks like SOAD is getting back together. Is it out of the range of possibility's to say they could headline the Bigfoot stage? I think they could get a pretty good turn out.

Edit: I'm sorry, I'll elaborate.
Sasquatch isn't a festival known for the heavier acts it brings. Whenever a band that plays music that is in some way similar to what SoaD does is booked for Sasquatch, they usually either have (a) ties to the northwest or (b) sufficient mass or crossover appeal. Also they aren't usually ... you know, fucking System of a Down.
I can see it happening, because it's not so outrageous that I'm ready to write it off immediately, but I'd say the chances are god damn miniscule.
But what the fuck, this festival once booked HIM, so who am I to say anything about SoaD.

Might as well bring in RATM or The Nightwatchman/One Day as a Lion also.

I could get down to some SOAD at Sasquatch, but then again I could also get down to some Mastodon or Dillinger too but that will never happen so whatever.

I8 pretty much voiced my opinion on the probability. I don't really like SOAD, I don't really like Foo Dr. Garbanzohters either, but fortunately there's space for four headliners, so I won't be too disappointed if they're booked.

On the Foo Dr. Garbanzohters note, I've never been even the slightest fan of theirs but my buddy had their "Live at Wembley" DVD playing last night and it fucking blew me away. They look like such a stellar live band. Unless an absolute favorite band of mine is playing on another stage I'll be watching them for sure now.

SOAD would be a perfect fit for Sasquatch on the mainstage. But I agree with revolutionj... if RATM headlined a day that would blow SOAD out of the water. But then again if RATM was to tour here, they might as well book a seperate date at the Gorge. They did it once, they can do it again.

Yeah after seeing a few of my friends DVD's as well, I am definitely going to be seeing them now. My friend is a big fan and says they do some pretty cool things live. He said last time he saw them Dave drummed a few songs and the drummer played guitar and sang, which is kind of interesting.

I have to see this DVD. My girlfriend is a big FF fan so unless there's a big conflict for me I'll be joining her up front for their set. I wasn't that enthused to see them when I first saw they were playing, but this is giving me hope.
Edit: PS. I would love to see SOAD and don't care how well they'd fit in. BRING IT!

Just to be clear on my rationale as to why this would be possible in my book. Coachella (yes i realize this is a different festival) booked a solo Serj Tankian a couple years back. If you have listened to any of his solo albums they are really not that much different than SOAD. To the point of Mastadon and DEP. I could be wrong but I believe that both of them have played at Coachella and/or Bonaroo (again i realize different festivals). Bottom line is that its not totally out of the question and I personally think it would fit in with how eclectic the festival is.

That's actually sort of the point I was trying to make about Mastodon and DEP. Those other festivals are much more eclectic than Sasquatch and with the bigger crowds can easily draw people to their sets. The heaviest bands you will here at Sasquatch will be along the lines of Japandroids or Murder City Devils. And I would debate that the only reason MCD was on the bill was because of their NW roots. That said, I don't really think it's necessary to bring heavier acts to Sasquatch, I appreciate the dancey, mellow vibe.

Oh give me a break interstateeight. NIN has played Sasquatch on multiple occasions... who are just as raw and heavy as SOAD. Even though SOAD might not fit the bill in your head, there are other stages for other genres and SOAD have been widely popular for awhile. I have seen many other bands (Sasquatch and other concerts/festivals) that have been much further off than having SOAD on Sasquatch. They would fit perfect and would attract tons of people. Get your head out of your ass
*edit* - We need more people like wolfhat for this reason: PS. I would love to see SOAD and don't care how well they'd fit in. BRING IT!
This is the kind of attitude Sasquatch needs!
