I have Ha and Soft Skulls but I could never get into them. Maybe I'll give Ha another listen tonight

That set was awesome. One of many Sasquatch hidden gems.

I can't believe Sasquatch had Mike Patton and they put him on the bitch stage.
That female beatboxer, Butterscotch, blew my mind. And then there was that whole thing where Mike was singing to that little girl and I thought he was going to punch someone the whole time. Fuckin' Crudo, man, that shit was TIGHT.

Mike Patton is da bomb.
I don't mind that he was on the medium stage. Some of my favorite Sasquatch performances have been there. Crudo, Deadmau5, Michael Franti and Spearhead (the year of the wind storm), Beastie Boys instrumental set, Girl Talk, Miike Snow, and Ghostland to name a few. Unless the band has some insane light show that demands a larger stage I actually prefer seeing them on the Bigfoot stage. It's easier for me to get closer, and I feel like more of the people there are invested in the gig. Otherwise they'd just be chilling on the hill watching whatever happened to be on the main stage. This was definitely the case at the Crudo show. A really small turn out, but everyone there was really into it. I think they also had a shitty early time slot, which I do think is wrong.

They ended up going on at about the same time as the National's postponed set. People were all up in the old Wook because the National was supposed to play mid-afternoon on the mainstage but they got detained at the Canadian border so we had to put up with that self-promoting asshole Rainn Wilson.

I don't like bigfoot (or whatever they decide to call it) because everything slants down from the stage so it's hard to see for a lot of people, and everyone always talks about how the sound is bad there. But I agree that the crowd is usually cool up there

Crudo was right in between the two National slots. I saw the Fleet Foxes who filled the missed slot, Crudo, then waited 30 minutes for the National on the third stage to start. I may have left a couple songs early from Crudo though, because my friends were bitching about it the whole time. I remember it being really cool, but not the mind blowing show everyone talks about, because of the downers.
I googled Crudo a couple months after the festival but don't recall seeing much of anything about them. Their wiki only notes two lives shows and an album never released. Can this be true?

Yeah, that's true. There was supposed to be a record and a tour, but then nothing.
I had the same experience at Crudo. I had to leave early because my friend has a monumental boner for The National.

I had no such problem. I let my National friends leave and stayed with a smaller posse at Crudo. Glad I did. It was really enjoyable, and I was even more glad I stayed after slowly realizing that would likely be one of their very few performances. Here's hoping it's not true!

Let's get some Tomahawk up in Sasquatch. Freak everybody out. Or a god damn Mr. Bungle reunion already.

I doubt it. A lot of people can't understand Mike Patton's music. These are sad, stupid people.
I like pretty much everything he's done, except I don't like Fantomas. If any of the more recent Fantomas albums were all that I'd heard, I wouldn't be too interested either. That shit makes you crazy.
I say don't decide until you've taken a road trip with 'California'.
