Oh I don't know, Interpol has their 'thing'. It's unique in that when you hear an Interpol song you know pretty well that it's Interpol.

Except that it's a modern day rip-off of Joy Division.

Ok, here's where my seams start to show: I don't know shit about Joy Division. Never spent any time with their music at all.

In all fairness, there are plenty of bands going around that are modern day rip-offs of Joy Division.

I knew Interpol before Joy Division as well, but after listening to Joy Division, the rip-off seems obvious.

Like who? I ask because I really don't know. I've always thought Interpol was THE rip-off of Joy Division, and I don't know many other bands who sound like either.

UGH. I was hoping Cloud Nothings were going to be at Sasquatch this year. Fuck.

So I'm confused, why can't the bands playing at Primavera play at Sasquatch? I thought last year a couple of bands that played there came to sasquatch.

It's not that they can't and some of them surely will but it's the same reason that a band who plays new york the Thursday before sasquatch is less likely to play. It costs a lot of money and it's pretty taxing on the bands to fly that far just for a one off show.

that said I'm pretty bummed that emeralds isn't going to be there (although I don't know how well they'd work anyway...)

That's a surprising list, because I was really expecting Twin Shadow, Fleet Foxes, The Walkmen, Das Racist. Like cbat said, it doesn't rule them all out, but it's tough for those bands to make it.

BSS did it last year so did Pavement. There were more if i remember right. I think playing at primavera makes a band more likely and less likely at the same time. Kind of like how Dewey Cox needs more and less blankets.

BSS, Pavement, the xx, Dr. Dog, No Age, Japandroids AND The New Pornographers. That is quite a few. Don't worry.

DAMN! Smith Westerns are playing Seattle in Feb. I was really hoping they'd be at Sasquatch.
