Nobody is arguing that. People are suggesting they could headline the Gorge by themselves, which is ridiculous.

If they are supposedly headlining/subheadlining a night at Coachella, they sure as hell could headline Sasquatch. Its a mute point they def could.

huh? peatrick was responding to someone saying they could sell out the gorge on their own by showing they played to 5000 people last time they were in town. He didn't say anything about them not being big enough to headline

edit: wrote this really slowly, didn't see HG's post until just now, oh well

This got by me initially; is this some weird jab at me for my feelings regarding Arcade Fire?

I think you're sort of missing an important factor dude. With festivals you're already guaranteed to have a captive audience. There is no doubt that Daft Punk would PACK the main stage area for almost any large scale festival, but touring alone they're only going to sell out large theaters and smaller arenas.

I completely agree with you on that. Daft Punk would be so crazy as a headliner. Im not saying its going to happen or anything, but seeing them on the mainstage after dark would be intense! I hate to say it, but since the mainstage is boxed in now it does give light shows a whole different aspect.

How about a retractable main stage backing? When it gets windy/rainy/dark they can put it up, but when conditions are nice and the sun is shining I think everyone would benefit from having it open. WHO'S WITH ME>!?!!11

Have to remember the Tron movie they are doing is going to boost their fanbase to about double what it is now. Guaranteed if they had a good supporting act in the spot, a Daft Punk show at the Gorge would not be too far off. Not saying I wouldn't love to see it. I would be surprised if it happened at Sasquatch though.

p.s. between this and the kanye posts I'm convinced you're just here to troll us

Hold up Wolfy. . . . . . . That makes too much sense.

I wasn't too heartbroken about the stage last year because it was completely necessary, but i live 150 miles away i feel bad for those who hadn't been to the gorge thousands of times.
