I like how I don't peek my head at the boards for a couple months and when I do every thread becomes a fucking Modest Mouse bashing thread.
I really like the Twin Shadow album. One of my favorite new bands and I would really like to see them perform at Sasquatch.
Not so hard...

Twin Shadow was the first pseudo confirmation. Their touring agency spilled the beans a couple months ago.

Not saying Robyn won't be there, but she isn't skipping the west coast. She played Seattle last night and Portland the night before. |
|
She's skipping it on the second round of her tour in 2011, and will be hitting up Coachella so here's hoping.
And no she's not a new artist by any means but has started to break out in America.

I'm not really sure what kind of music gets shit on this forum, having only lurked for a week or so, but I'd enjoy seeing Mt. Desolation come out to the festival this next year. They opened for Mumford and Sons on their tour and were pretty good. A group made up of members of Keane, Mumford and Sons, occasionally the drummer from The Killers, and others. A side-project, I guess. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoEF0EPhWiQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3glJq-dTOk&feature=related

I picked up the Dale Earnhardt jr.jr. EP, and liked it very much...however it's only four songs so not much to go on...has anyone seen a live show? |
|
i did catch a bit of one of their many sets, it was good but it wasn't great. the songs translated well live, but it seemed like they were way nervous. it was their first show of the week though so.. but i would definitely be interested in seeing them again if that helps

Has anyone heard of Delphic? Their deubt album came out this year and with an exception to the fine folks at Pitchfork, it has been getting very good reviews. I think they have a chance to show up at Sasquatch.

I have recently gotten into this small seattle band called beat connection. They are getting play on kexp and could be big enough for an opening spot on the yeti stage.

I need to give their album a proper listen. I've had it downloaded for a while but haven't really gotten past the first couple songs. I'll do so asap!

Brett Dennen opened the Yeti in 2006. Now he's a megastar.

That Delphic album was solid, and I think they'd sound good live. Good catch.
