Pavement sucks, and if you're still defending them after Sasquatch then you are an idiot. It's really as simple as that.

Lumpy's such a fucking bully I can barely stand it.
Pavement was at the very bottom of their game at Sasquatch, and in spite of the clear exhaustion, mistakes, utter lack of chemistry and everything else (flaws which are undeniable), they've written more awesome songs than almost any band on that stage that day combined, and for that alone I was deliriously happy during their set.

I don't think i'm a bully. I just don't like Pavement and their placement last year. To go from LCD to pavement to massive attack just plain didn't work for me but it did for my friends. So to each his own. The only thing that drives me up the wall is when people dont read previous posts and are like I think cold war kids could be there. Whatevs though. The Coachella fever is starting to make me antsy for our lineup.

Wrong. Pavement is excellent, and if you disagree, then YOU are an idiot.
Okay now you go!

This is amazing, the first time I actually agree with HG.

You guys are delusional. Just imagine ANY band that you don't feel socially obligated to shit heaps of praise upon like you do with Pavement playing the set that Pavement played at Sasquatch. Imagine someone you don't regard as an 'indie deity' throwing that fucking hissy fit and dicking around and being an asshole for ten minutes instead of playing music after the extreme high of LCD's set. You'd be PISSED. Like the people at Sunday Squatch last year who didn't have their heads way on up in dey asses.

I'll admit that since Pavement made most of their music before I hit puberty, that I felt socially obligated to listen to a band that a lot of people seemed to like. But that's true of pretty much every band I've listened to that I didn't grow up with. (And before the pitchfork accusations fly, it was my older sister who introduced me to Pavement.)
And then I became absorbed in their albums. Wowie Zowie was on repeat in my car for like a year. And I think they made a bunch of really good songs, and seeing those songs live was...delightful. It wasn't a transcendent experience like LCD, but I loved it nonetheless.

I would have a better time if you stopped trying to engage everyone in pedestrian chit-chat and got the fuck out of here.
