Other possibilities that I would like:
Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit (they will for sure tour next year and didn't even touch the PNW last one)
Chk Chk Chk - New album just out, no PNW dates (though it' sstill early) and if you never seen them live, they fucking kill!

Oh man and I totally second Black Mountain.
Also: new Mice Parade soon... Bring Adam Pierce out and while you're at it see if you can get Peter Katis to rally the Philistines Jr. THAT would be incredible.
edit: Oh holy shit, this just in. Just fucking right this minute.

I could see:
Harlem Best Coast Real Estate Surfer Blood Local Natives again Liars Titus Andronicus Major Lazer Toro Y Moi
and a bunch of bands they've already mentioned On top of aforementioned headliners, though I think it was already mentioned in the other thread, maybe The Strokes
And an interesting idea, maybe that tour Weezer is trying to do where they go to a city and play all of Blue Album one night and Pinkerton one night (I have a feeling everyone on this board is either highly against or highly for this idea)

I'm still surprised that Surfer Blood wasn't there in 2010... but yeah, I imagine them appearing at the Gorge in 2011 is pretty likely.

...also
I wouldn't mind a Blue Album or Pinkerton set by Weezer... as long as that's the only material they'd play. Listening to any of their other albums has been known to induce side effects similar to those that one might receive from taking Zocor.

I think Titus Andronicus is a bit too heavy, and too high on the "scare the crap out of children" scale. I hope I am never within 100 yards of the Liars again. Although I'm no expert on garage, or even how to define garage, I don't recall many garagers in the past, so I'm doubting Harlem. I like the rest of the list though.

Haha, never heard them described as such. I'm interested to hear your reasoning. I mean, they're definitely no Murder City Devils

I think Titus Andronicus is a great guess for next year. On the heavier side relatively speaking, but definitely still in the rock genre.

I don't feel like crafting another history lesson, so about the Philistines Jr I will say just two things.
First, it is the recording project of Peter Katis, whose work as a producer you know from the National (Alligator, Boxer), Interpol (Turn On the Bright Lights, Antics), as well as records by Jonsi, Frightened Rabbit and Swell Season.
Second, I guarantee that the Philistines Jr is the 'Favorite Band You've Never Heard' of at least one of the people within the sound of my voice. The fact that I'm an asshole has nothing to do with how incredible they are.
Yesterday afternoon I sat down and put on their album 'The Sinking of the S.S. Danehower' and was making my post about Mice Parade and wistfully suggesting booking the Philistines Jr for Sasquatch, and I decided to make my weekly visit to their website to see if they were up to anything, only to find a full-page announcement about the release of their first album in NINE YEARS. That's literally exactly how it happened; I wanted to cry I was so happy. So I did.
Maybe the time is right for them. Last time they dropped a record the internet wasn't the kind of place it is today; even so the honest-to-goodness perfection of both of their albums makes the fact that they continue to languish, unnoticed and unloved, an absolute mystery.
Someone on a message board ten years ago urged me to check them out, and for ten years they have been in constant rotation. If they hit as close to home for anyone here as they did for me, thank me in ten years.

I agree with Harlem.
I'm gonna throw a previously unmentioned band that would fit the "up and coming" quota for next year's sasquatch and that band is Skybox, i think they fit the sasquatch mold really well and could be pretty popular in the near future

Their live shows are a chaotic blend of noise and energy. You can barely recognize the chunes they are playing. They are hairy and scary, and completely manic.
Aside from Spencer Moody's antics at Sasquatch, the Murder City Devils are extremely tame in comparison.
