I kinda feel the opposite, Lumps. I'm not too excited about the comedic acts this summer.

Correction--I'm not familiar with the majority of the comedic acts this summer.

No matter, guess I've got some researching to do :)

Paul F. Tompkins is a very funny dude. We saw Aimee Mann's Christmas show a couple years ago, and Tompkins was the MC - a real highlight of the evening.

Hahaha, this is so true. He is a bit player in so much. But I agree with HG, when we saw him he was very funny.

Definitely go get the album "Impersonal" by PFT. You'll be glad you did.

Also, Paul F. Tompkins was one of the major members of Mr. Show which I think is what he's mostly known for.

I will second this post. Every time I drive down to the local ski resort with my friends I make sure to show them a comedy album.
We've gone through Aziz Ansari, Mike Birbiglia, Patton Oswalt, Eugene Mirman, Kyle Kinane, and then classic guys like Carlin, Black, Seinfeld...

But the album that ALWAYS gets quoted and requested is Impersonal. That album is hilarious.

Assuming Comedy Death-Ray Radio is broadcasting their set live, I'll be definitely listening online, so if anyone sees that set, I'll be there in spirit.

If I go, I'll be sure to yell "LUMPY! HEY! HEY! LUMPSTER! YO HEY HEY LUMPY! HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY!" at a quiet moment.
