Dad rock noooooooo!

I came to this board complaining about foo Dr. Garbanzohters. Did everyone really think they were better than modest mouse? It was a fun performance, but they just write the shittiest songs.

I though MM was better but the Foos really impressed me. I never thought they would have that much energy and be so damn entertaining. One of my favourite shows of the weekend for sure.

Neither of the 2 finals could have been any closer though.

Thanks stamps for doing this.

Awesome idea, stamps! I'm sorry to have missed out. Lots of close match-ups, and I'm surprised Chromeo was eliminated so early on, but I guess they lost to the ultimate winners so there is that.

yeah, it was a lot of fun.

for next year, would you guys want me to expand the competition from 32 bands to 64 bands?
on one hand, it could extend the competition for another week or so - which might be fun; on the other hand, it also might get a little tedious.

thoughts?

If there was 64 bands then there would be a lot of bands in the beginning groups I haven't seen. It would probably just come down to which shows I saw rather than which ones I liked better. On the other hand, it would be cool if there were more of the unknown acts in there. There were a few bands I would liked to have voted for that weren't in there.

Seems unnecessary considering the likelihood of one of the lower-tier bands actually winning.

True, but I think bands like RyG and Major Lazer would have gone pretty far. They werent really lower tier, just kinda mid tier.

What if there was a couple wild card spots next year where people can write in bands that werent options?
