I caught the end of Beardyman, and while it wasn't bad, it definitely wasn't what I was expecting.
I thought he was a comedy act? And I thought he did a lot of beat-boxing looped vocal stuff a la Reggie Watts? Granted I only saw the last 10 minutes, but he was basically just a DJ from what I saw. Was he supposed to be comedy or EDM? He at least succeeded on the belt sander though. I don't know much about EDM, but he seemed to know what he was doing.

If you caught the last ten minutes, you likely missed the part of his set where he beatboxes and builds his soundscapes. Check this.
Also, I was super pissed to hear the Deer Tick was doing a covers set. I would have killed to see that!

Gotchaaaaaa...
Yeah, I actually saw the end of it after wandering away from Ted Leo as I thought Spiritualized would be then. I caught the "Dr. Garbanzoht For Your Right" cover, but I already saw 'em play that the day before. That definitely woulda been fun though. I loved Deer Tick.

It seems I end up loving every Deer____ band. Put Deer at the beginning of your name, and I'll probably like you.

It was a total shit show, but it was pretty funny. They played everything from La Bamba to Smells Like Teen Spirit. They were absolutely hammered and were clearly just fucking off the entire time. I enjoyed it the 15 or so minutes I watched.

I heard Mogwai cancelled, and Spiritualized was playing a full set, but I didn't think Spiritualized would get pushed back and replaced. When Deer Tick started their set, I heard, "Mogwai cancelled, so we're going to play Deer Tick covers." I wasn't even wasted, but I obviously misunderstood them. I wasn't paying attention. I left during the Nirvana cover, and almost missed the beginning of the D.

He was one of the coolest things I saw at Coachella 2011, and it was around 10pm. I couldn't believe he was playing Sasquatch that early, sandwiched between actual comedians. He should have shut down the shack opposite the Roots.

They jumped from Replacements to Nirvana at which point lead singer informed the crowd they were about to witness Deervana. Lead singer was smashed. At end of the set he exclaimed that there were 7 minutes to kill and were going to play stairway to heaven, which they did for about 45 seconds before busting into Dr. Garbanzoht for your right to party. Good drunk times.

Did anyone see Dry The River? It was basically watching Explosions In The Sky with three guys that could also harmonize while they jammed out to feedback. Next to St. Vincent I found it to be the best set of the weekend.
