Im surprised everyone is putting James Murphys set up so high on their lists. I though it was fun, but nothing that great. Wolfgang Gartner on the other hand... That was awesome.

James Murphy was just downright incredible. If there's a better DJ I'd like to see proof. Wolfgang might have been great but I wouldn't have missed Jack White in a million years.

I didn't miss a second of Jack White, I caught 30 minutes of Wolfgang before Jack came on.

Then you missed at least most of St. Vincent, which was fantastic. Those 3 shows ended up being the conflict of the weekend for me. Hearing that Wolfgang said it was the best gig he's ever had made me sad I didn't see him, but I don't think I would have traded any of St Vincent or Jack White to see any Wolfgang Gartner.

1. Beck - Due to Sasquatch magic everyone camped within a 4 car radius of my camp was together for this show. It was a massive group hug between about 20 of us for pretty much the whole set. This totally added to the fucking fantastic set that Beck played.

2. St. Vincent - She killed it. Many thanks to the Shins for not being entertaining enough to keep me there for the whole set.

3. The Roots - I thought I was way too tired to dance much more that night, but they proved me wrong. Such a fun set. A+ to the tuba guy for spinning 360s with that thing on.

4. Jack White - Not quite the setlist I was looking for but overall still fantastic. The chant-a-long for Seven Nation Army was one of the most lame yet awesome things.

5. Joy Formidable - They are like, awesome and stuff. So entertaining for such a short set. Also, why was the crowd so small for this?

HM: Beirut, Girl Talk, Metric, The D, James Murphy, Santigold.

Disapointments: None. A couple shows I thought could have been a little better, but I never had any regrets about what I saw. I guess I do regret not making it in for Gary Clark Jr. Damn slap the bag.

I've never seen Beck before Monday - does it always look like he forgets how to play his guitar about 25 times during the set?

1. Beck
2. Jack White
3. St. Vincent
4. Little Dragon
5. James Murphy
HM: The D. I totally did not expect to like or have that much fun at their set. Great surprise.

3 and 4 keep switching in my head all day. And actually, I kinda want to make 5 be James Murphy/Pretty Lights/Feed Me; they were all great dance parties for different reasons.

This would be my only regret of the weekend.... not the slap the bag part though, just that Davers let me sleep for so long in the honey bucket that we missed Gary Clark's set. I mean, jeez Dave, get your act together next time!

I couldn't confirm this anywhere but somebody told me that he now has MS and this is sort of his "farewell tour". Not sure if this is true or not, has anybody heard this?

I know I heard of him having back problems, but I sure hope MS is not the case.

Depending on the severity, MS isn't necessarily a career-ending disease, but I still hope that isn't the case for him. No fun...

Gary Clark Jr. was done at least an hour before we even left to go into the fest. You kept saying "We're going to see Grouplove!"

You're right though, I'll try harder next year.

You know, you could've just told me we saw him and that I loved it and I probably would've put him on my top five list. I was surprised to hear we even made it in for Joy Formidable.

But really, I owe you a beer or four for the awesome job you did at taking care of me that afternoon. If you're in town for the Arkells on Friday, I'll be buying you drinks for sure.
