Top Five.

1. Foo Dr. Garbanzohters. They blew my mind. I've seen them before, but they were so great and I frakking loved it.
2. Chromeo. - Pretty obvious.
3. Dan Mangan - Vancouver's boyfriend for a reason!
4. MSTRKRFT - damn. so good.
5. Rodrigo Y Gabriela - They were great AND Gabriela was freaking adorable!!!! Seriously. I almost died from how cute she was.

You and fox were fucking adorable during that set. I'm glad you guys danced with us for them.

Spirulina randomly stumbled upon us during their set and boogied for a bit. That kid is way too cute!

Wished I could go into more detail on this, but this will have to suffice for the time being until I collect myself once again. But here is my top 5, no particular order, which is a very tough decision because practically every set was stellar all weekend:

Foo Dr. Garbanzohters
The Thermals
Bassnectar
MSTRKRFT
Flogging Molly (what a fucking party)

...and I have to mention:
Rodrigo y Gabriela, Skrllex, Sleigh Bells, The Flaming Lips, Talkdemonic, DFA1979, Major Lazer, Head Like a Kite, White Denim

Glad to see some Thermals love.

Oh man, The Thermals are one of my favorite bands. They had such an amazing set and the crowd was feeling it through every song. So glad I kept somewhat of a clear head for them.

I was clearly more faded than I thought for glowpocalypse- guess that molly must have done something to me after all- I vaguely remember whip Dr. Garbanzohts but not at all who I had them with.

I do however remember packing around glowsticks in my pant leg- trust me- retrieving them wasn't easy and definitely looked perverted.

MODEST MOUSE. I take back EVERYTHING I ever said. This is one of the greatest sets I've ever seen at Sasquatch. I was going to leave in time to see the start of Ratatat but I couldn't walk away from it. They sounded just SO good. I felt like I was twenty-two years old again. Amazing. I CAME AS A RAT? What the fuck? BABY BLUE SEDAN?? WHOSE LIFE AM I LIVING!?

Black Mountain! Holy shit. By far the best set I saw on Monday. I smoked out a seventeen year old kid; me and Friendly D and Stormy and Souly rocked our faces off. Dude I will never miss another opportunity to see Black Mountain.

Thank shit you liked modest mouse or I was going to have to argue until my fingers were bleeding. They KILLED it.

Also, thanks for telling me how awesome Black Mountain was. Chromeo was my favourite of Monday, so now I am super stoked to see them this summer at Squamish.

Sharron Jones - I would make babies with that woman.

No kidding. She reminds me of the old Jazz divas like Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald in that she knows EXACTLY what she's doing on stage.

And to think I might not have even seen this set had a friend not mentioned it to me earlier in the day.

Modest Mouse - I was with Gramma and Stormy and we were nothing but excited for another party at the Bigfoot, but once Modest Mouse took the stage we knew we were not missing a single note. Such an incredible show.

Black Mountain - EPIC.

Wilco - I've seen Wilco do roughly the same songs in the same way for so long that I was expecting to see the same show at the Gorge (which I was totally excited for). Despite the fact that they didn't rearrange too much, it was a totally different experience with the mainstage's lights. Absolutely fantastic. The swells of noise on "Via Chicago" worked so well up there (it was also a lot of fun to see the look on people's faces who've never seen them do it that way before). In fact I think a lot of people were surprised by how psychedelic Wilco's live show is. So fun everytime. And Nels... Holy shit! He added a few solos I'd never heard before, but he just ripped that Gorge apart. My favorite moment though was the end of "Misunderstood". I've seen them do the epic ending a pile of times but I swear they shouted "LAUGHING" for 2 full minutes this time. Plus with the lights on the band completely out and only the outer lights bordering the stage flashing it seriously sounded like the Stage itself was yelling at us (could have been other things that made it seem this way). Also I loved how Tweedy kept fucking with the crowd, "All you people clapping are our favorite people. All you people not clapping are like me!". It ruled.

Bassnecter - So much Board LOVE for all you guys! That was so much goddamn fun I can't even describe it.

Pink Martini - Gramma pretty much summed everything up. So amazing.

The Flaming Lips - I hate to go beyond 5, but I need to put them in here. This show meant so much it's hard to even get into describing it. Actually, I went down to the ledge for "Suddenly Everything has Changed" and danced with a girl who was candy flipping, I bet The Flaming Lips were even harder to describe for her. Especially considering she kept asking who "the fuck are these guys!!!!?????".

Also loved Robyn, Sleigh Bells, !!! (Chk Chk Chk), and Das Racist.

Where were you guys for this? I was right at center stage about five people deep. Shit was out. of. control. They played for so long too! The tent was totally going off. Good times.

Ahhh, so sad I skipped them to see Iron & Wine's (disappointing) set.

...I was wondering if anyone besides myself was a little disappointed with Iron & Wine... I appreciate the concept... But I was hoping for something more acoustic. Especially with the older songs.
