Hey, I caught Gabourey Sidibe on SNL last night - they were way better than what I heard, her new stuff is really good. I can't wait to see him at the 'Squatch!

One more note on Asian Robots that I thought about while doing laundry--

The Friday show was 21+. So you can imagine my contempt/frustration when an honest-to-god push pit breaks out on the floor. Think 14-year-olds at an ICP concert. God-awful.

And considering the young crowd that shows up for Sasquatch, it's almost a guarantee that this band's set will be plagued by some of the most ignorant mosh attempts you've ever seen in your life.

I'm just going to use real band names and say that I hosted Japandroids and Portugal. The Man at my school last night for an outdoor show. Japandroids worked pretty great outside and I was surprised how clear the vocals were. I'm guessing it would be more muddled in a club but expect them to be clear at Sasquatch. Really fun set and while there was definitely a mosh pit, it was really mellow, no slam dancing or anything.

Portugal. The Man were amazing beyond words. I can't recommend them enough. The set they're playing right now is so damn good and the guys are all amazingly nice as well.

Dude! If you are a fan of Asian Robots and you love those little kids you are in luck! Check out the band after Asian Robots on the Yeti! They're called All Ages.

... which is just awkward as fuck. The last thing I want to feel at a non-hardcore show is a 15-year-old who has no self-awareness or sense of physical space awkwardly throwing himself into me.

Or I'll put it this way: Unless I'm at a show where violent person-on-person contact is acceptable and even encouraged, anyone who is doing that juvenile push pit shit looks like this:

SO REMEMBER, KIDS

You think those girls look ridiculous? That is how you look if you try shoving your way arhythmically through a crowd at Sasquatch.

Haha, a push pit. I like that term. It's no wonder why there was such a clearing there. I ran away from my computer when I saw a couple of those pushers.

Even though I firmly believe that some "opinions" subject themselves to factual verification, like "Nickelback is a god awful fucking band," I'm willing to chalk this up to a matter of taste. I'm not wrong; you just haven't seen enough enough of this ass clown bullshit to be sick of it like I am.

ive been in a fuck ton of pits. some more violent then others, but never in something as sad as those fat chics and never in something so angry and senseless that you walk out severly bruised and bloodied. i enjoy the pits where a band that isnt so hardcore is rocking out and everyone kinda unintentionally and naturally dances/jumps in unison and pits where the band is hardcore and everyone is just feeling the songs and break downs and starts trucking eachother and stuff... at either end of that spectrum its pretty much a big collection of awesome energy.

wimpy half assed push pits are awkward. slam dance competitions and round kicks i just dont understand.

wtf?!?! http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=6a8_1174397221&c=1

little help with the vid
