Bands to see regardless of how much you like them?
« Thread Started on Apr 24, 2010, 9:44pm »

There's the "10 must see bands thread", but this is a bit different. Which bands this year put on such a good show that you should see them whether or not you're a big fan of their music?

and also i've heard really good things about a couple bands from friends.

My Morning Jacket is a real cool instrumental surf band from tennessee worth checking out. They play with masks on. Check out the album !Viva!.

The Stand Still, Pyrite, Afternoon Commute, Panther Sex, and Hot Coffee are all definitely worth checking out too.

And Twilight Opening Weekend was really successful. They made like $142 million. I can't wait to see New Moon on the main stage big screen friday night.

Saw them on Friday. They put on a good show, brought lots of energy, and seemed like genuinely nice guys. I'd definitely recommend it but I can't say that you'd enjoy them if you're not all that familiar with their songs.

"Cow Tools" is a hint for the full set.

Of those mentioned so far, I'm looking forward to Pyrite, Ass Fault, Jack & the BEANS-TALK (there must be a fart joke here), and the Besnard Latkes.

Also of interest, the Absoulte Worst, who sound worse than the Dull Repulsion Stars.
