Well I'm pretty sure that would survive a copyright challenge under IP law.

Awesome. Everyone take note, when they have another contest next year to rename the Wookie/Bigfoot stage, Jorge Lucas Is An Asshole is officially taken. I mean this.

God, I hope that wins. For both your sake and mine.

I thought my idea for the dance tent name this year (Bigfootloose Tent) was creative as fuck haha. I'll just assume for my own sake that they didn't use it because they were changing the Wookie name

That's pretty good, it's too bad they didn't use it.

I do not... DO NOT, like the sound of a "solar stage," aside from the small benefit it'll have for conservation... In terms of sound and show, this makes me very weary... Green stages are great concepts on board, but from my experience awful in practice...

I'm sure it's not going to be 100% solar powered. Here in Vancouver one of the local ski mountains just installed a huge wind turbine to "power" the mountain. It only accounts for a small portion of the power in reality and is rarely even spinning. Basically a huge tourist attraction and a way to look like you care with out really doing anything. I'd bet this isn't much different.

why not just set up some stationary bikes connected to a battery and let festival goers power the stage. yes, that idea is illogical, but it beats an acoustic stage.

That'd be a good idea if the stationary bikes were closer to the stage than one could get under normal circumstances.

If Jorge ever tried sue us for liable, we can get Johnny Cochran to throw the Chewbacca Defense at his ass.
