 Big Foot Stage

So as we all know there is this elusive thing this year called, "Big Foot Solar Stage". And Dawes the band that was just added is playing it. So how many more bands could be added to this?

Well... hmmm... I've been to a few festivals that added these "green stages," and though it was a great idea, the stages themselves proved to be suitable for really only acoustic sets... Do artists do this... no they often try to play their normal set, (which is fair,) but unfortunately it tends to sound awful. So I'm seeing this as more of a kitchy thing, and hoping for no further potential "FML conflicts."

that's interesting about acoustic sets, i guess that would make sense for a "green" stage. dawes is definitely a mellower band that could easily do some acoustic stuff.

city & colour and Tegan & Sarah could definitely also play this stage. They do acoustic stuff all the time. Freelance Whales maybe too

In my experience I haven't seen them change their sets from what I've seen. Bands will play as if it's a normal stage, but the stages seem to be sub-par. For example I saw Cage the Elephant and Ted Leo play at what was a similar sounding stage at Street Scene last year, and what would've been really good shows were not so good due to the setups... But who knows, eh? I'm always down with more music.

Both of those acts are listed as being on different stages... the only band listed as being on bigfoot, is Dawes.

I think what alex was hinting at (if I understood correctly) is maybe like, on top of those bands doing their normal sets on the normal stages, doing special "acoustic sets" at this stage (or maybe I completely made all that up).

If that's the case, I'm gonna start camping out for the inevitable John Darnielle acoustic set right now. But that is probably not the case.

Definitely the best case scenario with this stage.

I feel like one of my nightmares included a guy with a giant mouse-head mask playing an intimate, acoustic guitar set.
