Hmm, am I misunderstanding your post or are you saying that the chorus from Slow Show was in a song on their selt-titled? I'm least familiar with that album so I'm not sure.

Seattle and Eastside heads: The National just announced a date at Marymoor Park on September 11th, so if there's an act conflicting with them at Sasquatch, you can catch them in September! Outdoors!

can't wait for the eruption of the crowd after the "praying for Pavement to get back together" line in 'So Far Around the Bend'

It's really Slow Show you should be on the look out for.

You know there hasn't been a show of there's I haven't seen them play it... Furthermore all the leak setlist suggest it to be a very real possibility... Lastly... I have maybe, erm cried to it myself.

When I saw them play last year in NYC they closed off with Mr.November. It was pouring rain, and Matt went into the crowd to sing the last half of the song. It was a pretty incredible end to the set, to say the least. Can't wait to see what they have in store this time around.

I love the new album...incredible. "Afraid of Everyone" and "Bloodbuzz Ohio" are unbelievable songs...I hate to sound like a broken record but I hope that Hold Steady/National conflict is not true with the addition of the Bigfoot Late stage. But I guess we won't know UNTIL THE FUCKING SCHEDUAL IS RELEASED!!!!!!!!!!!

I really wish I knew, because I've often wondered the same thing... I never really, wholeheartedly liked the line, "so you can put a blue ribbon on my brain..." There was just something off about that. Really that's the only thing that's ever really annoyed me.

This would be amazing, I've only seen them a couple of times and there wasn't once they played "Mr. November," but this would be quite amazing.

I'm thinking based on the setlists we've seen that it'll be a 'high violet' heavy set. Makes sense as they'd like to promote and hopefully sell a few copies of the record. Hearing anything prior to alligator is unlikely, and that's unfortunate. Still, super excited to see the new songs live.
