I was shocked by the lack of big headliners but I'm thrilled with the depth and quality of the artists. My Morning Jacket is going to be insane. Not to mention The Temper Trap, The National, Drive-By Truckers, She & Him (Zooey how I love thee) and the Hold Steady, among many others. I was taken aback by the lack of a NIN/Beck size group but upon reflection I'm going to be crazy busy and potentially stuck with serious conflicts.
I do wonder how tough it will be for them to sell the show out without any marquee names. I wonder if they're announcing headliners closer to another jump in ticket prices? I wouldn't care and I'm certainly not holding my breath but unique marketing/business techniques like that are quite plausible in an economy like this where discretionary income in held close to the chest. I'm just glad I bought my tickets this past weekend when they were super cheap.

Agreed, love the lineup but do envison live nation struggling to sell tickets outside of the indie and electronic fans and the people that go every year regardless of lineup. All three of these headliners would struggle to draw 5K people to their own show in almost any city in North America. There are a whole lot of bands here that your average punter has never even heard of (including headliners). It will reduce the bro numbers, but bros = $ to Live Nation. I'm wondering if that may force their hands to go out and get a bigger name (Soundgarden) to help sell remaining tickets at a later date.

MGMT is one of the few bands i can see that will draw the bros out of their man caves this year, which is a great thing about having lesser known headliners. this lineup gets better every time i scan through it.

I don't really think soundgarden actually goes with the vibe of the rest of the lineup, maybe a Sonic Youth or Flip,
But they might add a hot chip or pheonix to help sell tickets,

I'm thinking Soundgarden is Bumbershoot bound. I'd love the Arcade Fire to hit up a night but I don't think that's particularly likely. Like I said I'm fine with the line-up but interested to see what happens next.

By the way did anyone notice that the band dates are up on the Sasquatch website? Pavement and Massive Attack both play Sunday. Ween does not seem like a headliner. Even for Monday... could be another artist will be pushing their way in? The overall depth on Monday is fantastic though. I hope the Temper Trap doesn't conflict with anyone I really want to see.

I highly doubt there will be another headliner announced. Ween is it.

Ween is going to turn that place upside down, perfect act for this festival. Seeing them on the line up sold me for sure, it's too bad people don't pay attention to how talented they are. The line up is great and fucking WEEN is on it. Time to celebrate

There is a lot to like here this year. Only a few bands I am really averse to in the while lineup. I usually don't go to see the headliners anyway, and could really care less who they are. I spend more time at the Wookie Stage getting up in front if I can.
Will admit the headliners seem a bit weak this year, but there may be more bands added and someone might poop one of the current headliners. Whether or not that happens, from top to bottom I think it is a pretty strong festival. I'm looking forward to it!

I love the line up. There were a few I was hoping for that aren't there but it's really fucking good. As soon as I started reading names my mind went to there will be conflicts, but it always happens. I still have a feeling something great will still be added. Like when I almost had a heart attack when Murder City Devils were added last year.

I hope the flaming lips are added on Monday night to perform Dark Side of the Moon.
I just really can't see a lot of people sticking around to watch Ween. I will, but I can see a lot of people leaving pretty early on Monday.

I feel ok about the lineup but not super thrilled. Wanted to see LCD Soundsystem for some time and Massive Attack and Public Enemy sound fun. It is definitely light on the "big draw" headliner band and in this regard Sasquatch doesn't compare to Coachella. Then again, Coachella costs about $100 more, so you are paying the bigger bucks to see bigger headliners. And this Sasquatch lineup definitely stands up compared to Bonaroo, which also costs $100 more. So I would give this lineup a B grade. Interesting to see though if these bands can produce ticket sales in a US recession.
