last line of the article: "(For what it's worth, word on the street here is that they're right about Soundgarden.)"

From that article:

Ok, these are just my guesses based on some fact, some probability and a lot of hunch, oh and it is not, I repeat is not, the actual lineup!

Pavement, Soundgarden, Flaming Lips, Them Crooked Vultures, Faith No More, MGMT, The Black Keys, Band of Horses, Jamie Liddel, Phoenix, Chromeo, The Dead Weather, LCD Soundsystem, Peter, Bjorn and John, Vampire Weekend, The National, She and Him, Broken Bells, Japandroids, Nada Surf, The Thermals, Local Natives, Girls, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, The XX, The Temper Trap, Neon Indian, Vetiver, Wale, Morning Teleportation, Miike Snow, Why?, Cymbals Eat Guitars, Owen Pallet, Laura Veirs, Fresh Espresso, As Tall As Lions, Macklemore, Portugal. the Man, Frightened Rabbit, Bassnectar, Mew, Dirty Projectors, The Moondoggies and a bunch of bands I have not heard of yet...

If thats the line-up, I'm in. Very strong top three lines there. Lets hope the Stranger is on to something here.

Thanks for posting that cbatson

that would be one hell of a lineup if those predictions are close. we're due for MGMT and Band of Horses. Peter, Bjorn and John might show up since they canceled last year. i expect to see Neko Case there supporting her solo album, as well as Ben Gibbard and Jay Farrar.
if the Flaming Lips show up, they'd likely be given a Saturday headlining slot so they can do their full set plus Dark Side of the Moon which would probably take around 3 hours total.

That lineup would be an awesome surprise...Hope they have good hunches, although some of those artists seem kind of unlikely, like Owen Pallett who is playing in Seattle in early May unfortunately.

Hey guys, the article that cbatson posted from the Stranger got their info from my Sasquatch! Blog (sasquatchmusicfestival.blogspot.com), so those are my guesses, some of which have already been pretty much debunked, but fun to guess and dream nonetheless. Knowidyuh has been helping me this year with the blog, so check out his posts and look forward to his guesses in the near future...Oh, just so I slightly stay on topic, what do you guys think about Faith No More as a headliner? They have second tier billing at Coachella, I know that back in the day they were not a headliner, but neither were Pavement... It is a reunion, Mike Patton has played Sasquatch! before and he has quite a cult following, but it also might be one too many reunions for this year...

sometimes the lack of reading comprehension skills on this board astounds me...

but to say something productive:

I just can't imagine sasquatch having pavement, soundgarden, AND Faith No More. If Faith No More is a headliner then I would assume soundgarden would be out. If they don't headline then they would be a great opener for Soundgarden.

Otherwise though, nice job on the lineup. Most of it seems pretty logical and there are only a few that jump out as really unlikely (namely Frightened Rabbit).

I agree with the guy who just said stuff, all three headlining bands should not be 1990s reunions. I can't see myself buying a ticket without an unusually strong undercard like last year's if Soundgarden, Pavement, and Faith No More ALL headline.

I know, it definitely is a little top heavy. I have not had as much time this year to do the research I usually do.

frightened rabbit is in seattle on may 16th. probably a little too close to sasquatch for them to do both.

Well someone needed to since you didn't ;)

Ugh@Faith No More. I think Mike Patton is an overly cocky, full of himself, arrogant douche. Granted, I only like faith no more out of his projects, but I've seen him live independently and as part of Tomahawk (he seemed amazed that most of the sold out arena was there to see Tool, not some side project) and haven't liked a thing I heard, and his attitude towards the crowd and fans left a bad taste in my mouth. There was also that interview he was doing while Wolfmother played in the background, and he was very condescending towards them, as if he's some sort of higher authority. Just don't like the guy.

If you look at other bands who have headlined, there are other bands who are capable of doing the same, if they haven't already. Nine Inch Nails seems to be a band of that caliber. And further, Pearl Jam is perpetually rumored as a Sasquatch band (for obvious reasons) but they've done the Gorge themselves at times.

everything I said applies to Pearl Jam x10 and you're crazy if you think NIN could headline the gorge on their own.

On an odd note, when we were talking about Puscifer/Tool/APC, I decided to look up old APC tour dates. They opened for someone at the Gorge in like 01 or 03.

It was NIN. Who couldn't headline on their own ???

I don't not believe you, but you have one post and no established credibility.

You are right, I have one post and no credibility... I'm not trying to get credit for anything, I just love the festival and Soundgarden and am stoked they are gonna be there.

You don't have to believe me... but if you want to acknowledge that I was right next Monday/Tuesday that would be nice!!! =)
