Because the show they put on is going to make jam band fans very happy. I'm happy it's Ween and not Pavement, that makes Monday yet another chance to leave early and get home at a reasonable hour.

Ween seems like a second stage headliner to me. Weird...

not that I'm disappointed... this year's lineup feels like an experiment to me though. If it fails in terms of popular recognition, it'll fail hard. But if the money they're saving works out for them, then more power to 'em. The festival business is very tough. Especially when you only expect a max audience of around 20,000 people.

True, and their band didn't mysteriously lose all credibility and relevance when they added a guitar player from some Manchester band from the 80's...
