Yeah I was at Street Scene 08' in San Diego, and the Black Crowes were supposed to close, but due to a "medical emergency," Devo stepped in... Devo... Matt Berringer, lead singer of The National, said it best with, "Yeah, and Devo will be playing on the other mainstage... Great... We opened for Devo..." It was as much what he said, but how he said it, that made it one of the most hilarious things to witness.

Headliners and subheadliners are much tougher to replace, so you are left scrambling if one cancels, but paying a band like Blitzen Trapper or Ozomatli a couple hundred to be available if a band from the lower 80 per cent cancels, makes it easy. Who knows if it actually happens, but it makes sense.

That was only the third worst "I know something you don't know, believe me" post this year.
1. Smashing Pumpkins will headline (too much idiocy to comprehend).
2. Soundgarden is confirmed!!!!!!!! I'll buy you a beer if I'm wrong!!!!!!!!!!! What ever happend to that guy? I'm thirsty.
3. "Huge changes that will shift the lineup," as andimac states above. No one believed him.

I read on Adam Zack's blog that Soundgarden is confirmed, but they are waiting until Ticketmaster starts selling 3-day passes again to formally announce it. That's right, there are more 3-day passes to come.

Not even a quick search... I can see it being some ambiguous title, as that's the standard with blogs, but even cross referencing all available information, there's not really a site out there with legitimate "Soundgardern to Sasquatch," information, aside from rumor-mills. I just want to know so as to not have to worry about them completely changing up the tentative scheduling.
